She thought she was something

until she met a person

who made her something,

feel like nothing.
Dear innocent inner-child,
Still taking refuge,
Sheltered,
In your adult body,

You've been hiding
For so long
In the darkness
Away from everybody.

Decades
Have passed away,

You've never been able
To come out and play.

Your sanity
Has always depended
On being,
Safely,
Tucked away,

You've been all alone
Each and every single day.

I wonder...,
Will you ever be okay?

I take solace
In knowing
God's infinite love
And compassion,
For you,
Will never be taken away.

Dear innocent inner-child,
You found strength
In taking it day-by-day,

I know
It was the only way.

I was never the easiest to love
no man would fit like O.J's glove

I was never the easiest to leave
countdown to go, like New Years Eve

I was never confident with my hearts emotions
I am the shallow part of the deep blue oceans

I was never in tune with my souls true feelings
lying to myself, seeking ****** healings

Now I'm left with all my ******* and baggage
empty affairs have created a Savage
i need you

to wipe the

tears

from my cheeks,

and put

bandaids

over the gashes

on my

heart,

and whisper

in my ear

that it will

all

be

ok,

because right now

my hope

has run dry

like a

poor village's

water supply

(although the

well in my

eyes seems

to always

be full to the

brim).
Choreographing words
Into theatrical dances
With her imagination,

Gracefully exhibiting
All of her thoughts —
Using letters
As lavish decoration.

Having them leap-out
Onto the stage,
Outside of her mind,

Hoping in each performance,
“Her life’s story”,
You will find.

Reposting an oldie!
When we speak
Without using words
Our actions say so much,

This is how we show real love
Without the need to talk or touch.

Our actions
Will always speak louder
Than any of the beautiful words
That we will ever say,

But only when our hearts and souls
Have a genuine pure love
To selflessly give away.

I am just
a pretty purple
placeholder
for her old lover.
A holdover
until he
gets his
**** together.
So, I’d rather
give her the cold shoulder,
but I love her
too much to abandon her.
Even though
this is killing me
slowly
but sweetly.

If you should see me
Walking by
Hair shorter
Say hello
Say hello

If you should spot me
In a crowded dance
Body thinner, or thicker
Don't wonder,
Don't wonder

If we should fence eyelines
Gait slower,
Don't gut and run
Say hello
Say hello

If you should call me
I'm still here
Adorned in jewels
Ruby sun, sapphire waters
Ask for my emerald green
Emerald green
Ask for me
