Thank you for
the Heartbreak
It's the greatest
gift you ever
gave me.

We don't care about today
but hope for a better tomorrow
someone told me that kind of hope is
the greatest source of sorrow
for we're locked up behind
glittering window panes
and through that tint we
find freedom in our chains...
unless we're color blind
Yet again am told hope is a good thing
that life's just the way it is
it's a bee, now and then it's going to sting
it's going to shine, rain or freeze...
We pray for a clear sky
albeit the cloudy comes with a blessing of rains
we'd rather say hay while the sun shines,
stuffed than share with
a hungry brother that pines.
We forgot what really matters
with  many broken hearts,
and a million souls in shatters
everything hurts,
the world is busy grieving...
I once read
funerals are not for the dead
but for the living...
We're all faithless
that's what we're believing
can't repent, we're all sinners
so who'll do the forgiving?

Amidst the smoke and light and laughter
Along the smiles and cheers thereafter

A sound is bled, wrung free from strings
It bounds and treads and wholly sings
Inside each song, a secret’s moved
Not right nor wrong or frequent proved
The message dances from bow to ear;
A coded trance of love and fear
From left to right the story rings
Of death and light the Cello brings
The covert tale engulfs the room
It vibrates truth to those who loom
The Cello knows for why it’s played
Its secret lost, both gone and stayed

In the smoke and light and laughter
Music lies and cries thereafter

We are elaborate animals made of wood
earth, flowing like water into the veins
of the sky.

The sun being a fist of lava, and the night
being an enticing molar—we are
a succession of tides, being swallowed
by successions of day; and how beautifully
we wilt in the presence of joy.

The moon may be nothing
but a luminous
stone

and to eat the poetry of it
is how one chokes
on love

but the romance of morning
is that if by midnight
you are alive, that is joy.

I watch the water
beam from the sun
and that is what you call
making love
The Earth is the greatest poet I know.
I pluck at her expression
every so often
merely attempting
to translate her lyrics
into something,
just something
we can all feel and understand
My salutes to you, Earth.

There's no line betwixt*
Love begins right where hate ends
and
hate right when love ends

Maybe all Humanity's lost
and savagery's our true nature
*and we're at war simply
because we aren't born for peace.

The sun will come up tomorrow,
the flowers will grow in the spring,
May love abound in your life and
peace to your soul may it bring.

There were no lonelier nights than those
he had so much to transcribe but wouldn't find
the right sentences to lend prominence to
his indistinct meditation.
There were no colder moments
than when he found it close
to impossible to clutch the brush
of his mind, and paint his
everlasting torments.
Such nights were
lonely and
cold.
