Voice has died down
silent are words
thoughts retreat
all is empty now

I talked
to the moonlight
tonight
And asked it
to send you
my love
When it reaches
your sky

Mrs Timetable
Heartbroken
To see hundreds of years
Uprooted and thrown
To the ground
Broken
Destroyed
A wicked wind
So violent
It took out the young
Newly rooted
The ancient
The massive
Weak from drought
Majestic and still
Laying on their sides
Looking imposing
Root history exposed
For all to see
For me
An honor
To witness
Laying there
Respecting more now
Than when you were born
You did make a name
Appreciating now
You weren't only a tree
96 MPH winds took out an incredible amount of trees this past week. I've never looked at these trees like I did this week.  Not to mention the power of the wind.  Massive trees uprooted and knocked down. It was death. And it was heartbreaking.

jordan
inhaled by the moon
on a night before full
as gauzy ghost fingers
grip the violet night
almost as if they were clouds
glowing with bone-light moonbeams
softly drifting like gossamer owl wings
over aubergine skies pin-holed by planets
and speckled with only the brightest of stars
10/29 - I fell in love with life again tonight, thanks to the beautiful moon and lenticular clouds that are keeping a tight grip on the valley like hands joined in prayer overhead.

Our inheritance
is loss

I don't care
about liberation

Freedom is
the ignis fatuus

Everyone's a slave
to something
