What happens to a broken promise?

Does it sting
like a bee?
or creates a wound
and leaves a scar?
Does it die in the heart
or grow as a seed

Maybe it just lives
like a ghost

Or it creates strangers?
This is my remake of  Langston Hughes' a dream deferred. I've been in love with the poem for sometime now. I dedicate this piece to those in search of true and meaningful friendships
Sunday?
bear with me.

I must take some time to pray
a minute or two ought to do.

Done
and my faith restored,
the tablets Moses gave to me
turned out to be
paracetamol

everyone's a shill for someone thinking
that they will one day get down on knees to pray
bear with me,

if it works,
it's fine
if not
then all you've wasted
is some time

When I think about you
I think about the Journey of a woman
Who's been grinding since she was 15 years old
In a world that doesn't care about us
I see a woman
Who did whatever she needed
To make sure her children were good
Still to this day
She has a grind like no other
I appreciate the battle scars on your heart
From being done wrong
I'm amazed at the smile that hides
Some of the pain inside
i like to watch the eagles on the mountain top
as the sun begins to set behind the mountain drop
casting sillouttes in the reddened sky
such a lovely setting to watch the eagles fly.

flying wild and free in the sky above
just to watch the eagles is something that i love.
flying all around when the day is done
beneath a reddend sky in the setting sun.
On this moonless night
I sit among the crickets
Shrouded in music
Autumn leaves
in the color of the sun
feed the Earth

Branches bare and gaunt
decorate the sky...
life in disguise

The crow descends
and observes
humanity in winter

Spring whispers;
crocuses stir
and meet the sun
