K Balachandran
Darkness in waves, he finds in this ocean,
All round his world, even at high noon.
While seeking light in that dark continent,
In her eyes, a surprise; he encounters sun!

And when she cried,
galaxies poured out of her eyes.
Even the darkest parts of her,
were laced with stars.
I have an obsession with the stars, moon, and sadness.

Marian
In ancient meadow yonder
She frolics with butterflies
Wearing a halo of wildflowers

Rise softly, rise gently, waking dawn
And let the drowsy sun yawn a while
Beside me, my love sleeps in peaceful bliss
With crescent eyes and a crescent smile
The morning breeze may tease the blooms
That wait to unfold with the sun's blush
- But softly, blow gently, oh morning breeze
Let the wind chimes be still, quiet, hushed

Rest your melodies, singing birds and bees
And cease the fluttering of your wings
The hum, the drone, the medleys
Quiet the rustling and the whispering
Why gurgle so loud - river- change your course
Flow far away, past the mangroves
For how lustily you gush, bubbles and froth
Shhshh...love sleeps - eyes closed

But alas - the river stays, making its music
The birds from their songs shall never cease
And the morning breeze breathes free
Tinkling wind chimes, hustling leaves
Rise - the sun shall and burst in gold
And the world'll be in daylight's warm embrace
My love will waken yet I still revel -
For sun lights the grace of my love's face

L B
She rises above Monamoy Point
on her wake—a Tenebrae of carbon
Then bolts back
careening cross blue-black—
through her lucent clouds of hair
from which on radii spray a diaspora of stars
Mistress of Metallurgy
tempered, tampering
Darkness forged to alloy with light

Men have always wondered...
how anything could be so round?

To arouse a sullen tide
her fingers palpate night-water’s lead
tingling light of limbs so spread
to her lover!

Close him in—
a pewter path of trembling touches
that ends in the small of her back

Men so wooed, still shudder
“How anything so tender...?”

could expose such stone!

She eclipses the sun!
She commands the sky!
...to hone his steel on that!

I saw two butterflies in the alley,
between the new well and the orange tree;
With the shade of the tree they seemed to dally
to tease the sun who, without them cannot be.
I overheard two blackbirds when I looked up:
“Why can’t we tease the shade like the butterflies?”
Said the maid-bird, pretending an orange to sup.

And before she could even realize,
The darkbird spread his long wing over her thighs.
In the throbbing blue flakes of the sky she cries
& she cries & moans & she moans & she cries
unlike a Buddhist.

The words my Savior
gave to me
are all so pure
and perfectly
intertwined effortlessly
as the lock
accepts the key,
exactly,
destiny,
words that were
meant to be.

The Dedpoet
I move from the shadows
    To your intrinsic body:

My touch
     Dissolving
         Like the horizon,
The radiant pulses throughout
     Like scattered embers
Under celestial forests,
     Light and dark dance
Like a hymn of the solstice;
    Touch,
Naked light,
     Bodies of elliptical passion;
The light in your eyes
Makes the love we make real.
Once more
Again
From the Dark
As the Sun Rises
I Find Myself
Alone but Surrounded
Surrendered but Proud
Shrouded in Hurt
But Open in Heart

This new Day
Comes at Last
To Warm my Cheeks
And Ease my Heart
Pain Fades
As Hope Rises
Perhaps this is as it
Is Meant to Be

I do not know
I am only a Man
But one looking at the Sun
And not the Ground
Muscles Relax
Tensions Ease
Resentments Fade Away
In Truth is Hope Born
God Bless the Rising Sun
First new poem in a long time, which was spent in darkness
Thine eyes
Were simply
Two pools of midnight
In which I'd stray
To heaven's celestial shores
