When kids pop more pills than balloons
at a fair, take more rips from bongs
than Beyblades, shake hands with *****
dollars and plastic bags, steal more money
than hearts, are in more mugshots than family
photos, **** more than war, sell more ****
than lemonade, read more billboards than books,
go through more girlfriends than socks in a week,
text more than they write, inject more ******
than flu vaccinations, drink more beer than fruit punch,
put their lips around more pipes than Popsicles,
and die more than live;
then we'll know we've failed them.

Expectations are the baggage we carry
Getting cumbersome, with each passing day
We always get the unexpected from it
Our back seems to be crumbling under the burden
Weaving a web of expectations, and getting entangled
Unable to ameliorate the obfuscated mind
Reciprocating, with the intention of fulfilling expectations
Our steps become heavily laden, unable to walk
Even though a life beckons without the paraphernalia
We have already walked away from it, with our expectations**

When I burn around my edges
And sometimes my very core
You shower me with your love,
When it rains it pours.
An extract taken from my previous poem, i feel it has enough power to stand alone..

In the heartbeat she gave me,
would i give all to thee
once more.

I'm in a haunted place before
Many problems that easily cuts me to the core
All I know is to cry
I prison myself because I'm scared for another try.

All I've got is a massive darkness
I can't even find the door of happiness
But He truly loves me
Because two lads knocked to rescue me.

I learned that if someone locked me in the room of darkness
There's always a window to get a shade of brightness
All I have now is possivity in my life
That with His plan, I know Im safe because of His Son.
"Because two lads knocked to rescue me" Im talking about Latter Day Saints or Mormon missionaries. Yes I'm LDS.
I thank Him so much because He always extend His loving arms to everyone.

Patronizing our morality
We live out lives in pretence and lies.
Our judgment shallow
And receding in wisdom.
Slaves to a system ruled by our fears
Blind to affliction and silent to tears.
Severe addiction to false promises
Prey to a bureaucracy feeding off our dreams.
Divide, rule, **** and procure
Reveling in madness our minds create.

Hard to dream of flush green meadows
Blue skies and quiet days,
Where the songbirds can sing their ode
And daisies are but plastic
That bow to the sun in awe and wonder.
I dream of a day when you and I
Can hold hands rather than rage wars,
Where money is not out ruler
And our morality outweighs the vice,
Where humanity is raised by selfless deeds
And peace is a language of our hearts.

There are a million and one,
rainstorms, tucked neatly into those tearducts
enveloped in those beautiful eyes of yours,
didn't anyone ever tell you, love,
its okay to cry.
So let those rainstorms fall,
lace your cheeks and tumble gently over your pursed lips.
There's beauty in the break down,
There's beauty in this,
Moment of vulnerability,
Unfamiliarity,
And there will be clarity,
Once your storms have been exhausted,
And the sun will rise again,
In those eyes.
So darling sit and pull yourself close,
Let those liquid droplets,
Drown you in your clothes,
For i promise you will float.
Pull your knees in tight,
Cuddle up in your own embrace,
And allow those weighty storms,
To trickle down your face.
Feel free to whimper and maybe ask why,
Sweetheart, its perfectly okay to be hurt, be vulnerable, to cry.

And when it rains
it pours
in that little mind of yours.
So you take your thoughts
and hang them out to dry
in the form of a poem.

Love is buoyant
It keeps afloat
Even in turbulence
The hearts don’t sink
We may cry oceans
But remember
Love is buoyant
Novice swimmers
Also keep afloat
Tragedy may strike
Upheavals of waves
May pull us down
Yet, we survive
Love is buoyant*
