Itikom aking bibig
Nang Sayo’y mamahinga.
Isip ko’y Iyong pagharian
At muling awitan ng Iyong pagsinta.

Ilang dekada na’y
Nanatili Kang tapat —
Ni hindi ka nagkulang,
Ikaw ay naging sapat.

Paano nga ba ako hihinto?
Kung Ikaw ang aking Kalakasan.
Bakit nga ba ako mapapagod?
Kung Ikaw rin ang aking uuwian.

Tatahan ang aking mga mata,
Pagkat Ikaw ang aking Tahanan.
Ikaw ang Simulang
Walang katapusan.

At balang araw,
Sa isang kurap
At sa isang iglap lamang —
Ang lahat ay alaala na lamang.

I go to school
I sit in class
I love to write
But I hate math

Behind my desk
I try to add
I draw the shapes
I make the graph

Learn formulas
I get confused
It's much too hard
Too many rules

Daddy can teach
He goes to schools
He shows them math
He knows the rules

I leave the bus
Dad gets the door
"How was your day?"
"I learned some more!"

Dad says, "Good Job,"
And turns to leave
I yell out, "Wait!
Can you help me?"

Dad hesitates
He sits me down
I bring out math
He starts to frown

"How is this hard?
Here's what you do!"
I smile as he
Explains the rules.

"I get it now!
Let's do this one!"
"I have to go
But you have fun."

My daddy leaves
I wear his frown
I try the math
It's harder now

"Daddy come back!"
I start to yelp
"I'm sure at school
That they can help."

I go to school
I sit in class
I love to write
But I hate math

Behind my desk
I just can't see
Can Mrs. teach?
She's not Daddy

I raise my hand
I wait a while
"Can you help me?"
Mrs. just smiles

"It's not all wrong.
Here's what you did.
Let's try it slow
And get it fixed."

That's not so hard
That's kind of cool
I laugh as she
Explains the rules

"Mrs. please stay
For just one more."
"I'm glad to help!
It's not a chore."

Before class ends
We take a test
I'm scared but I
Wish for the best

I turn it in
I start to leave
"I'm proud of you!"
Mrs. tells me

I check my grade
Right by the door
An "A" in math?
What in the world?

I leave the bus
Dad gets the door
"How was your day?"
"I learned some more!"

Dad says, "Good Job,"
But doesn't stay
I yell out, "Wait!
I got an A!"

Dad smiles. "In math?
I'm proud of you!
Maybe one day
You'll teach math too!"

I'm really glad
I learned the rules
But math should still
Be banned from schools

Thank you Mrs.
For teaching me
Since my Daddy
Had to go.

The very anthem of my soul
Is to shed every tear in your arms
And the comfort you shared before
Meant a precious treasure found —
Found in the most genuine kindness
In the most peaceful way
That I can ever calm the storms within me…

My soul longed for time
To bring puzzles into pictures
To depict the beauty I found for years
In the palms of my own ashes and failures.

And in such a span of time and space
That draws me into the vastness of my being —
Then maybe I could say I could just dive
In the ocean’s deep and fear no more.

If I am to bury myself
And the depths of my heart somewhere,
Would you find this a treasure to keep?
Would you ever believe that I found the half of me…

Rising above the mire of
Pain
and
Hurt
and
Toxicity,
My mind clears
and I can finally start to
Breathe
Again

O balang araw malaman kong ano nga ba akung klase..

Ang mundung ito na malawak
Ay napakaraming tanong na hawak
Iba, mga kababalaghang di tiyak
Nasa kanila ba ang sagot kong tiyak?

Ano nga ba ako dito sa mundo
mag-aaral? anak? Kaibigan? Bestfriend? kalaro? Classmate? O Baka naman isang tagapayo
O baka wala lang talaga ako
Dito sa mundong tinitirhan ko

Baka isa lang akung extra?
Sa buhay ng iba,
Na mahalaga lang pag may problema
At wala nang kwenta pag lahat masaya

Baka nga ganon lang talaga ako
Dito sa mundong tinitirhan ko
Pero minsan sinasabi ko
Baka mahanap ko ang sagot ko dito

Sagot nang isang tanong ko
Sino nga ba talaga ako?

They say this is a new war
But it's happened many times
The killings and the murders
The destruction left behind

We take sides, stand our ground
With no soldiers at our doors
Not knowing of the pain they feel
What they must endure

Occupied or Terrorist
Both sides refuse to lose
So they fight and **** each other
Each side with different views

We judge them for their actions
Not knowing their true pain
Innocents on both sides
With their lives they now must pay

One will win, one will lose
But the death it will not end
For their religion they must follow
A War without an end

Poem by Carl Joseph Roberts (Joe)
I have my own specific view but this poem takes no sides except the side of peace.

an embrace without a lost paradise
your cabaret words like a trance
I walk through the corrosive noise
I find my way to your footsteps on narrow streets
you hardly look back at your traces when they erase your touch from the map of time
so painful the hands left alone
you are touched by a melancholy impossible for some mornings
I am touched by reverie, entropy and memory
next desire on display a stain or a broken destiny
the weight of our shadows unknown
a foreign tissue is carrying the profoundness of thoughts
bear with me this heart tarred with pain

a moon song be the night
when trees remember how deep their dreams run

love spoke with an incomprehensible voice in manic days. we were looking for the soul of words, from one rhythm to another, no nuance no desire to escape this passion for dreams on repeat. my name is Carmen, I told him, you came to light me up like the morning that has never seen torches nor sobs. I'll write as long as the words hold me. Contaminated minds in humid bodies, I felt my fluid fingers maddened by je ne sais qua. I couldn't find my emptiness, you couldn't find thoughts any more in the tunnel of yearning, it kept descending into the desire of the earth, it ravished us. I don't want to get out of mind but I would go to the sea of green, was it in the palm of your hand? I'll turn into a cradle for the illusion of eyelids. I didn't have eyelids anymore, just two burnt eyes, the darkness that dug into them, that darkness that blinded you, called you, squeezed you till you turned into ink. I'd like to spell the word desire like a mantra, may it forgive me until it forgets me, until I howl and then fall silent. I shut up as a field. I'm writing about too much aliveness, purple in the pleasure of pain. I keep reaping the grain of wheat, I have no helpers like the hero in the story. pain contaminated the tablecloth. I didn't hide my desires in the orchids, but let them smile. we talked about ourselves as if we didn't know.  we were our new selves, our old selves. it was us all over in the abyss of mind as if it didn't hurt in the morning. I wanted to give myself to you. I am pierced  by words, I can't stop them, they flow from the eardrum of the mind to the marrow of my bones or the other way round. The stories of the lymph, I listened patiently. Maybe today is yesterday and tomorrow is the day after. I've forgotten the alphabet of time. What do words actually know? Love is the mercy of time passing by, leaving us untouched, now I know.

no signs no omens no nothing
just a sudden harmony in the noise of time
I was not even watching the speed of darkness
but making pancakes while not thinking that
when he smiles I'm in big trouble
in fine, this nameless connection this loving
togetherness of everything this God
who keeps imagining the world as if it does not know it
appeared in my fragile form,  fascinans et tremendum
a vision of a fluctuating infinity with so alive the dying
and life just continued breathing, the pancakes were ready
my inbox full of invitations to cure, illumination, mindfulness,
more connection, more healing for trauma, let's become wiser, deeper, more relaxed, more aligned with the soul of the world
so, I agree but in the meantime only the mystery got deeper
