Wonder why I'm here
Am I here again?
Why can't I leave,
Just like the wind?
Just something I wrote a few weeks ago.

"Life won't let you go,
and death won't take me..."
A quote made by me and my friend named Harry Dagless. He said "Life won't let you go, that's a good thing." And I said "And death won't take me.."
"Still a good thing." He said.
"Not for me, it isn't."

I wish I could say it out loud
I wish I could say it and be proud
I wish I could say it without shame
I wish I could make it sound lame
I wish I could say it and make some fame
But no
My feelings are to blame
They are the culprit
I can't say it out loud
I can't say it and be proud
I can't say it without shame
I can't make it sound lame
I can't say it and make some fame

*I can't stay here anymore
I just want to close that ******* door
And walk away from this kid called life
I hope to end it with knife
I'm never saying it out loud.
It will never escape my mouth.
Please don't stop me
Please please please
There's no way out of this disease

Sometimes Something Happens

Sometimes something happens
That makes you stop and think
Is this the life I planned on
Or is it just the life I need

Is this life I live a good one
Have I done enough to help
In the end when I look back
Will I be happy with myself

Sometimes something happens
Makes you take that one step back
It reminds you of what matters
Or the good life that you have

It gives a new perspective
Shows a different point of view
Creates a feeling deep inside
That somehow changes you

Sometimes something happens
That makes you change your mind
Allows for new beginnings
Let's you leave your past behind

Well today that something happened
That did all the things above
It gave me what I needed most
A new chance to fall in love

Sometimes something happens

ask your blood
your limbs, your breathing feet
what Poetry is -
a phylogenetic anomaly
in light’s discontinuity

or just…
the strange yearning of hematopoiesis

ask the silence in your lungs
the bursting DNA, reinterpreted
how it allures memory inside your bones
how it treads conventions of sleep
with the weight of a sigh

if you ask me
what Poetry is
I’d say: breath calligraphy
a winged dream of depth
on enchanted retina
the bitter-sweet art of airy harmony

ask your hands
what Poetry is
perhaps they’ll take a moment
to bloom

The Unspoken
When things start to fall in place...
and the breeze blows on you like a heavenly breath...
then you close your eyes, and you hear the melodious song spin through your mind..and you let lose...stretch your hands and let LIFE...
NEW LIFE Rise you to the clouds
And you are in a world of your own.
Like a baby...
You smile.**
Whuuuuuu.... #sigh!!!

I cannot recall the moment
that sanity became a working goal.

Drugs are expensive,
sobriety; even more so.
Somewhere between all of this
I will have to learn to live.

The homeless are pushed out of town,
asleep beneath the railway bridge
that sends rain through rivets
like bullets.

I keep punching the clock
as it throttles Eros with slow hands.

“Sometimes just a smile is enough”
reads a cardboard placard.
But I have not cracked a smile
since I started popping these pills.

One more thing
Before the day ends
I must tell you what reigns in my heart and mind
But that one more thing never happens
I am too afraid that you'll leave once you know
I'm too afraid once I say it you won't want to know
One more thing never happens
It never escapes my mouth
It always stays trapped in my heart

for her

no special expertise claimed,
if anything, les contraries,
my non-expertise,
but nothing forbids
my heart from trying
red crossing,
rebuilding just this young one

build from the corners in,
like one starts a jigsaw puzzle,
the human, moving parts,
thus harder,
but eminently doable

the corners are straight edged, linear,
easier to spot, easier to start,
but for you to find them within,
go outside, and window winnow in
you will know them as your
truest words

pick the picture
of you,
you know
you must pick,
the puzzle picture
of you

that favorite one
when completed,
will, though cracked,
as jigsaw puzzles
by nature wont,
as all humans
are wont,
will be the one
that brings smiles
first, foremost

she asks:
"Where are these edges that define me,
help me to construct and the where to begin?"*

after sixty years more on this planet,
have been torn apart,
reconstructed, deconstructed,
more then ten finger and ten toe times
this I know,
there is but one beauty
in this crueled worn
every day weary-world,
it is you,
you words that betray
Beautiful You
oh so well

you see I have your picture,
you see I have your words,
deconstructed, reconstructed,
I love your picture,
I love your words,
start with me, start at the corners,
show me the pieces,
tho the world see the ex
terior,
I see the in
terior,
the shiny new
true sides, so beautiful,
wake knowing that
not just me dearest Chalsey,
I have found your chalice,
and  your grail,
and I say,
this is just one man,
this can be where you start,

this then be your mirror,
let us from the corners in,
from the eyes that penetrate,
accept that this is not debatable,
this is my poem where I do not lie,
this is my piece of you,
from inside of me
my straight edge piece was
born in your beautiful words,
and I say,
can you, see a voice,
can you, touch a voice,
no one can

but I can

your voice is transcendent,
it is the cover photo of a glossy mag,
this is the photo, the puzzle I see,
and heart each and every word
Sorry I took so long

Read this poet, this woman, this woman's beauty
in her every word

As the ink sinks into the paper
i burrow deeper
inside of myself, until i am lost
in words, alliteration, commas and
full stops
to crop my faults
and tie my edges together
sew myself,
with rhythmic leather
in an attempt to hold secure
My frayed mentality,
conceal the reality,
That i have fallen apart,
Glue together new beginnings and fresh starts,
With ink at the heart,
Of it all.

And those pretty little firefly's
that used to illuminate
the sockets of your eyes
must have been soaked up by your crys
must have fizzled out and died,
inside of you.
Because there's no longer
that burning light
that used to ignite a room
And put the stars to shame.
And since they died out,
you haven't been the same.

And honey, i can try to ignite them again,
With all i have,
But I've done all i can do
darling the match lies in you.

Confused, amused by this life
I stand on the bridge and
watch the turbid water below,
churning, flowing,moving,
the haziness of the liquid calls,
jump, free fall, quit.
Let go of the railing,
stretch out and join
the flowing liquid.
Light dapples the water
the light is blue
the water grey
Blue light is coming from
the police car,
it's lights make the water
more, not less appealing,
I lean forward, hear the shouts
I know there'll be silence below.
I release my grip.
Into the deep murky water I go
