Slur pee
Cover me in the pigment of your skin,
Trace my flaws with fingertips and watch as they diminish.
Help me find god, I’ll call to him in a quiver-
A prayer laid in your ears, by a gentle whisper.
Snake your arms around my spine as it slithers into shivers.

Twist my frame into a beggar,
“Please, sir, I want some more.”
You’re a giver to the paupers,
Benevolent and adored;

Paint me as many pictures, in many forms
Create something beautiful for others to behold
With your talent and your care, your body and your words.

one step forward, two steps back
that is how most of us live
in our daily circumstance
one step forward, two steps back

progress made is progress spent
wondering where it all went
always late to the main event
one step forward, two steps back

running right while leaning left
taking back what we've been given
what we lack in our goals met
one step forward, two steps back

We have went different ways
A long, long time ago
Many moons have passed over us
Each one seems to slow

The crickets used to chirp
In the damp, and brisk night air
Now soft weeping, deep breathing
Is all there is to hear

Music used to sooth us
We listened tangled on the bed
Now the notes match the rhythm
But the songs are dead

Instruments collect dust
In the corner on their stand
So close is the Tranquility
But peace is a foreign land

We watched the tear drops form..
On the windows of our cell
Now alone with not but brokenness
You left me in this hell.

I am just an echo that
You sometimes holler at
Expect from me a response you see
I sometimes holler back

There's a chasm that's between
Where you and I are meant to be
Though all we know is the echo
That you have made of me

Listen to the silence
It could open up your mind
Things inside your heart
Could be unwrapped and you will find

Listen to the raindrops
They could speak up a thousand words
How they could test your strength
You would catch a million swords

Listen to the wind
It could tell you a new story
A heart that makes a confession
Saying the mending word- sorry

Listen to my melody
It could be a song of pain
Seclusion maybe the best option
If someone dear will gain.
Everything speaks...

Word prompt: SILENCE

I'm in a dark place
But it's alright
I'm just resting my eyes
From the glaring light

The pressure drops,
and the leaves begin to
swirl around a dusty lake.
Fire in the sky
rolls in with the clouds
riding a difference between a
splitting of hot and cold.
The hot air ***** the rain
further,
while the cold air cushions
and pushes
further.

In another distance
a similar storm brushes in
with a deep wind that
has carried it across an ocean,
to pull in more water
to travel
further,
pushed by the cold of what
is behind
and pulled by the heat
of what is ahead.

These two of a system
meet over this lake
and crash together,
like two gas giants.
The Earth shakes,
the lake creates waves,
and a look above shows
the funnels coming down.

One of pure chaotic wind,
and another of raw destructive water.
Trapped by each others
opposition
and support,
they dance across the lake,
lifting the leaves
and spinning
the weight of their composition
into one another,
until finally
they merge into a
brief or non-brief
union,
pull into the sky
as it splits apart,
breaks the storm
and leaves
clear skies.

I found God
In the gaze of my lover
As we lay still on the water
In the stupor of fear

I found God
When I fled alone to discover
I was trapped with no other
Until he appeared

I found God
In my haggard reflection,
Torn dress by the ocean
Wondering if I was in the clear

I found God
Watching lost men die free,
Succumbing to clarity
Thinking my time was near

I found God
When I lost all hope
My heart was breaking on the waves
And I didn't know how to steer

I found God
In a longing embrace
Finally feeling in my place
Knowing our time was now and here
