I drink the night like milk
a mothers warm embrace
I count the stars like silk
they enter through my face
I take in these layered tunes
by sound of brook on stone
an oath sworn by the moon
   the night is mine alone

Emotions tangle inside me
Like a twisting patch of briars,
I draw blood on the thorns
And search for you in the thicket,
But I cannot hear your voice.
I feel your body calling
Yet I cannot find the source.
From somewhere at my back
I can feel the eyes undress me,
I stand naked in the shadows
While their hungry minds assess me.
They have always come for me,
Though few are brave enough to stay.
I stand alone among the rains,
And the demi-gods, they prey,
Yet I am somehow unafraid
As every darkness leads to dawn,
Yes, every night must turn to day.
And so I only dream of you,
I trust you'll find me here again.

at least all
seven billion of us
feel heartbreak,
the high frequency sound
that explodes inside us,
screeching,

and then our hearts go
on beating,
all seven billion of them.
Its deeper than the olden day slavery,
Because these days, the chains are unseen so getting help is difficult.
Souls imprisoned in fake bodies that need validation to feel fit enough to live. Modern day slavery.
Its spreading too fast,we might all fall victim. Feeling incomplete when you miss a trend that won't add any inch to your height nor value to your life; that's modern day slavery.
Its so normalised, its hard to realise its actually slavery.
Free yourself and take charge of your life!! Be who you are.

when no mornings
follow nights
cities lie without their lights
little beasts root happily
children can live all their fears
   forests break
   mountains shake
then it’s time again

rockets roar with deadly freight
sharp explosions rock the night
   soldiers shoot
   graveyards bloom
it is war

when scrawny skeletons
creep through the streets
parents weep
dead bodies radiate
   new death
and crumpled shapes
   spread more disease
then it’s time again

the general orders strategic attacks
and watches how the metropolis cracks
   rivers stink
   battleships sink
it is war

when the bakers bake no more bread
when the butchers chop off their hands
when the doctors’ only prescription is death
corpses float in the village pond
   and supermarkets stay closed
         24 hours a day
then it’s time again

maybe the ultimate time
for the warriors to storm from their heights
to the valleys to lance and destroy
   they also **** women
   all children are dead
   the moon is all red
   the stars are so wan

   we are counting the corpses
   as long as we can

it is war
Written in January 2003, three months before the outbreak of the Iraq War.
Somehow, I have a similarly uneasy feeling now, with the new POTUS and all the melodramatic warrior rhetoric,  and just hope history will not repeat itself. Historians say it does not, but who knows.... - What  happenedin 2003 is the reason we have IS all over the world today!
Coppering Pine needle blankets
Checkerboard blue , gray green mosaics
The draw of afternoon August Sun
The burgeoning pressure of imminent easterly storm
A faint relief of watery mist and collective
woodland sigh
Diamond wave , teeming rain filled carpets 'neath
cloudy confusion held in life giving evergreen myrrh* ....

I breathe in the light
and I’m already choking;

this is no place
for the girls
that have ripped their own chest open;

do not save me now
I am to dwell with the unspoken.
