You’d had just enough change to pick it up at the Hall’s gift shop,

As you’d ate sparsely at the down-on-its luck diner

Where the bus had stopped halfway or so through the trip out

(Just as well, given the place’s obvious indifference

To culinary innovation and cleanliness)

And you’d all but sprinted with it

From the cashier straight o the batting cage next door,

Inadvertently ending up in line for the machine

Which threw curveballs

(The kids ahead of you older, most likely high school players

Who made but weak contact with the pitches,

A dream dying a little with each weak tapper and foul-back)

And you went through a handful of futile swings

Before the final pitch came out of the machine,

Spinning oddly and refusing to break toward the plate,

Hitting you in the back with a dull, rubbery thud,

And your teacher, thick-middle man

Who had played a couple seasons in the Indians farm system,

Where he had faced Juan Pizarro (Son, his hook looked

Like it was coming in from first base
)

Chuckled softly as he rubbed your back,

Saying It’s like I told you, kid,

This is a hard game
.
Form Cincinnati to Cooperstown, from Pittsburgh to Pittsfield, from Oakland to Oneonta, it is Opening Day, and I think it just might be nice enough to play two.

Today the air fell
through the roads making hopstotch
into bowl of oats

Was then she noticed
the horses in a meadow
Seemed to stand so still

The world had slanted
Yet through her house window a
moustache of a man

one of ancient age
sat and wrote a letter to
his wife in heaven

Tears rolled down his face
As he dabbed his pen into
his tiny ink ***

He climbed through a crack
in the sky and sat on a
floating fluffy cloud

Tis there he saw his
wife plant seeds in a garden
She gave him a smile

She told him she was
happy and he needed to
be happy as well

The horses began
to gallop jumping over
the wire fences

Her window shattered
And his ink dripped into the
deepness of the ground

She woke the next day
And saw a pretty flower
Standing all alone

Lying next to ground
A small white enevelope blew
into the big sky

landing right next to
the flower , she knew then his
loved his wife truly

A few days later
The flower had disappeared
And the clouds had rained

Blue ink coloured the
sky leaving one fluffy cloud
to float aimlessly
Never really know if my stories truly make sense but like playing with words :)

Take your sweetness
and bury it deep,
for now is the time
that fire is needed;
hide the tenderness
where you'll remember
to never forget, for
the only fear to fear
is the wild running
through your veins;
take your boldness,
your coffee black nerve
and steady hand squeezing
a hot coal without a flinch;
take your bravery,
your sea legs stiffened
against the storm
of indecision;
take your bright eyed stare
into the dark clouds coming,
take them and nod your head
with downturned lips
at all you were afraid to be.

Johnny watched
the girl
in the coffee shop
with the small tattoo

on her neck
just visible
above her collar
of the blouse

she was dressed in black
like a direttore funereo
rather than a bar girl
she had dark long hair

in a ponytail
and eyes to sink ships
or raise men's *****
he watched her

while he sipped
his large latte
taking in
each aspect

of her visible being
her ****** gestures
her smiles
her tone of voice

the skin tone
of her hands and arms
-that aspect
alone visible-

she moved
with firm intention
going about her tasks
with resolve

and ambition
but she seldom
gazed at him
or if she did

when he came in
it was a small smile
of recognition
a quick glance

as she took
his order
from the menu
and all the while

he drank her in
from strand
of dark hair
to tone of pale skin.

I wrote your sweet name in the glistening snow
I drank too much beer and just had to go
it's your weddin' reception
and I thought Fred should know
that I nailed you last week in my 86 Volvo
Good thing I drank that 12 pack of Schlitz
cause the beer ya'll servin'
gives me the sh-ts
I know it's a tad sloppy
but if I get on my knees
I may **** icicles
cause my doodads'l freeze!
Now the world knows that the ****** did lie
will ya cross the 'T' Billy Bob?
I done ****** myself dry
Happy Honeymoon Fred and your two timin' *****
Don't forget to tell him 'bout Bubba and Frank?

Transitions
Forced upon our psyche's
From treading water
To riding lightning
The changes can be
Somewhat frightening

Spent my days
In a cage
Fighting off a world of rage
Stronger and stronger
I became
Desensitized and now I'm lame
Smote I did to survive
Just to live another life
Where truth is hidden
In despair
I can never truly be free
From there...

so the drink was on
form and it didn't want to
stop flowing at all

Fizzy dizzy pop
brandy and Coke happily
enter my big mouth

So there we were me
and my lovely Deano
havin a great good dance

we took over the
dance floor , o it was so nice
we giggled and swayed

to 80's music
Big balloons hues of universe
Floated delicately

Pretty names blossomed
Happy Birthday wishes bloomed
Lots of lovely food

okay so we had
a few shots , *** we
now have dragons mouths

we taste aniseed
It was rather revolting
But it made us smile

I danced with my great
kids we had such a lovely
time we all smiled lots

O the food was so
scrumptious , chicken in wraps dipped
in chilli silly

red sunset sauce o
it tasted divine , me and
Dean ate it all up

Oh no my daughter
puked it over my sons van
Oh dear she's collapsed

*** I've put
my hand in her puke , oh jeez
The joys of a mum!!!

Hey I go indoors
Albie our pup as pooped twice
in our living room

Two large parcels on
my floor bless him and he
waggled his cute tail

My neighbour is in
a right old state too , they are
our lovely sweet friends

O the night is dark
The moon as just disappeared
And pavements are dark

The air is chilly
The trees look like big shadows
Cars parked silently

House is so quiet
Dogs are all dreamy sweetly
Everyone is drunk

But not nasty drunk
Merrily drunk with 'I love
you' cuddle kissy

Frizzy pop wizzy
Nizzy dizzy lizzy pop
Jazzy mazzey lop

Sparkling champagne
Bubbly gently softly
hic ups a big burp

White silky table
seat covers looking rather
dashing dreesed on chairs

Gives a really nice
authentic feel of kindness
filled with magic stars

I close my eyes and
my mind is spinning around
And I feel sick too
Oh jeez a goodold  ***** not good for u but. Once in awhile it's nice to just have lots of fun ***;**

Gots.
We.
We gots
Like lots beautiful souls here mixed in with lots
are .
Bunches.
    High
        Troubled
             everything's.
Put on a cleft
Gonna be drawn out
Lots
Low ******* lower notes
Some fast fingered high
With sharp c
A few flat e
And a passe
In the mid
        .
        .
Rumble soft.

Half note high flute
           --

Tap snare drum where there a second later the orchestra begins all loud clamor building an immense rise you don't think it can get louder but it dies and roaring comes

Startling silence.
Amen.

You are present as a passing breeze,
carrying the scent of lavender,
caressing my waiting hands
with a gentle brush.
But like the wind,
you are felt by
all
you surround,
and you wistfully drift away
before I can breathe you in.
