fallow winter does not bring
peace to the restless soul
finger-licked, waiting
on subtle winds shifting
for the tropical taste
of exotic droplets of rain
a salt-stained remembrance
in this time of dreaming

red-light ladies hatch
in raftered minds
a mass awakening
beneath hardened shell
freedom awaits wings
a collective opening
an essential
transformation

One of the greatest gift
Bestowed upon us
Is emotional pain
To embrace it
Is to finally live again

Sweet pretty Sandy Brown
She introduced me
To my first heartache
It felt as if I would die
To numb the pain
Was my first mistake

One cold day
I embraced the pain within
Only then did the pain dull
Enough to move on
To live, love
And even lose again

Life can be a painful experience
There's no avoiding it
There's no other road to take
Only cliffs

No matter how safe
You think you are
It's pain that makes us
Who we really are
...

Life is pain
You just get use to it

This is my feud...
This is my fight.
Many are my thoughts,
I hide from sight.

I show myself steady
but much remains unseen.
Ungreased are the cogs in my head.
Their teeth sharpened keen.

They eat and abrade.
Always turning, always grinding.
Results always made,
detrimental and unforgiving.

So think of me...
Not negligence maintained
and notions bought.
Think of my feud.
Let it be food for thought.

South by Southwest
I left the dust and tumble weeds
to be incomplete and moved
back east to where I was born

The trees crowded together
There was a change in the weather
I asked mom ,
"Is that rain?"

The people were crowded
With one thought and mind
Everything was designated
to be black or white

We caught catfish from
the Alabama River
Swam in pristine streams
full of soapstone

Then we moved again
Crossed Texas on our way west
Crossed the continental devide
Came to rest in Spokane

I sang God Bless America
while sitting on a fire hydrant
Looking at the purple
mountain's majesty

Then off again back east
Crossed Texas the third time
To Panama City , Florida
where we came to reside

There I learned
to abide by the tide
And that some things
you can't hide

Two and a half years
of bliss
Then we moved
once again

And again and again
and again and again
and again , again
again , again , again . . . .

All my travels
All my travails
I have found home
in the moment within me .

Human doubt
Depletes the soul
Off into the ether
Our essence flow

These things
Are invisible
Until you close
Your eyes...
Doubt
Is bigger
Than these pangs
Of life...

Doubt moves us on
While faith holds tight
Doubt lives again
Beyond the night

In worlds anew
Where creature create
Doubt is actually
An open gate

So hold on Thomas
Cause here I come
We're off to Never
Never Land
Where
I doubt
We're from

Don't let hope
Bind you here
Let your doubt
Take the wheel
And steer!

Where are you going
What are you doing
Where have you been
What are you trying to do?

Are you lost
Are you found
Have you forgotten what it is
to be around?

Are you
Alone in your room

or

Together with one roommate
too many

Are you trapped alone,
Trapped together?

Do you remember who
you're supposed to be
or
Don't you have a clue?

I know,
There is no magic sentence
to make it all okay

But
In the end
we'll all have the end
And I guess
that's
okay
with me,

We'll see.

How can I ever hope to break through when I've already been broken by all the mounting proof that what I once believed was never even true?
~~~
the greatest tragedy of life
is not to experience
love and the worsest part
is to live
just only to breath*
Hypothetically speaking if the concept of re-birth were to exist then i would love to be reborn as a woman...at times being a man seems so boring to me...i have always admired women...their traits, the sacrifices they make, their incredible personalities, their complexities...and especially the plethora of choices they have when it comes to fashion!!! ....and also i'd give anything to have a woman's amazing hair and her incredible smile!!! ....these two alone are absolute gold. Hats off to every single women on the planet...if not for you then we men would've long destroyed and devoured every single good bit of this planet.
