Birthday girl-woman
In a hot pink ruffled dress...
His sweet piñata.
Mommy drinks because you're bad
Destroy, she said
But remember
The practical pyromaniac
Burns responsibly
You licked honey-tongued lies into my ear-
Drunk on whiskey and mead
I felt you wrap coils around my heart
In your claws, I'll never be freed
To wander this earth with love,
Escape like a moth in the sky-
Your tongue caught me, entranced
I was lost in your honey-colored slit of an eye
Le sigh.  Oh to be trapped like we sometimes are
A young twig
Bends with breeze
Impervious to force
Unlike the old
Cracked and dry
That breaks at softest touch
Deserving to be
Kindling
Which shall I be
Today?
Words from the maker,
we hardly could ever hear,

Bereft of love and attention,
we see the diminishing concern and care.

We still pour our hearts
into this bastion we’ve held so dear.

But, alas, the kingdom and subjects,
have fallen into neglect and disrepair.
When did HP become a broken shell, a faint ghost of what it once was?
I want to be there...

When the sun would shine
upon the ready sand -
and presents us gold.

When it spears
into the excitable ripples
of the water -
and gives us emeralds.

When it caresses
sun-hungry skins -
and gives them back
their lives.

.
I miss the beach.
My real name begins
With an L.
I called myself
"Lovely"
"Lively"
"Likeable"
But my real name
Is none of those words.
More like
"Lost"
"Lame"
"Lackadaisical"
My real name begins
With the sound
Of paper erupting in flame.
After all of these years,
I have finally found
That "Lonely" is my real name.
I was a sunflower;

in all my colorful glory
a happy sight to behold
—more to my nature than could be imagined.

But you preferred roses;

Soft.
With petals that called your fingers
to linger as they please.
