Journal 10/22
Brie Anna Skye Oct 2014
She uses expensive makeup to cover up
all the bruises she has been given.
Broken and beaten she managed to fake a smile
it seemed she was always convincing people she was fine.
But really she wasn’t.
That night when she had to go to the hospital
everyone found out what he had done to her.
He hit her out of his drunken anger
and now she had to pay the piper.

3 cracked ribs and a swollen eye
was enough for them to question why?
It was all her mother's fault in her mind
leaving her alone with that man when she was only nine
to face his nightly wrath.
She was so innocent and young
and there was nothing she had done wrong.

my head ached with all the words i never said
my body numb
my lips frezing
my eyes shut tightly
i didnt want to see the pain in your eyes
after i said "im sorry"
I didn't want to feel what the pain
of loosing me was like
but i had to let you go..

would you believe me
if i said i've cried
would you believe me
if i told you why

would you call me a liar
and say no
would you call me a joker
and say it wasn't so

would you pull away
and blame yourself
would you pull away
and lie to everyone else

3 simple words said too quick
Caused her to
H i d e
In the daytime like the
M o o n.
She barely showed her tear
S t a i n e d
Face to anyone.
The good thing in her slowly
F a d e d
And she became
C o l d.
She shut herself up,
Locking up her feelings
T i g h t l y.
Everyone close to her
Slowly became
S T R A N G E R S.
She barley uttered a word
Scared she'd break down and
C R Y.
She was hurting and it was
All her fault only she was to
B L A M E.
A stupid little girl who fell to fast
Her only fault
was misplaced
F E E L I N G S.
And the mistake of saying
I
L O V E
Y O U.
