Rickrack, got cataracts
My vision is so blurry.
Surgery done, not much fun
I wish healing would hurry.
Zip zop, roota zoot.
Hate backless hospital suits!
Clap clap, standing ovation.
For a successful operation.

Wave pompoms, ziss boom bah
For magic modern medicine
In just one day, as they say.
The right eye is all fixed again.
Go back in a few weeks
And have the left one done.
Huzzah hurrah and yippee kai yay
And the healing has begun.

Colors I never noticed before
Are now bright and shiny.
If I had known that before I
Woulda been petulant and whiny.
But, nothing noticed, nothing lost
I am looking forward to the day
When I can see completely better.
Harroo and blinking hurray!

Yes, I am angry, *******,
******* and spitting
For people who annoy me
And really deserve hitting.
I rage against people who
Never did a thing to me
I want to jail some of them
And never let them free.

I’m angry because here I am
Getting older and I’m paying
For loafers and immigrants
Do you hear what I’m saying?
Trump said it right out loud
We pay more taxes than anyone.
So we can have a lady president?
Only fools would want that done!

Women and swishy guys
And bums in the streets.
You gotta be kidding me!
Wouldn’t that be sweet?
Taking all my money so they
Don’t ever have to work.
What are they thinking?
That I’m some kind of ****?

And here I am driving in
A ten year old automobile
When some welfare mom
Is driving brand-new wheels?
And now they’ve got colored folks
And gay shows on our TV.
That sounds like communism
And socialism to me.

So, yes, I am super mad
That only the GOP cares
Dems makes up lies and create
A bunch of libtard scares.
Our country seems worse to me
For the past ten years
And is busily pulling our great
Country down around our ears.

(I wrote this because I know
By first and last names
Acquaintances and family
Who preach this kind of shame.
They get their news from outlets
That are financed by the few
That give the gripers false issues
Then they do what they're told to do.)

My girlfriend won’t canoodle.
I’M not sure what’s amiss.
She refuses to even cuddle
And slaps me when I kiss.
She pulls away from me when
I try to cradle her in my arm.
It’s like she thinks I am a creep
Who intends to cause her harm.

Once I thought she was shy
Because she avoided my eyes.
Now I think she it is because
She’d rather I didn’t try.
I'D catch a look on her face
That goes away almost never.
I can’t just keep buying her things
Well, at least, not forever.

When we go out together
She tends to hide her face.
I have noticed she walks fast
And I almost have to race
To manage to walk beside
And  not fall too far behind.
I think if I just went home
She really wouldn’t mind.

I may have started with her
With the wrong tactics.
It’s just that pretty women do
Tend to turn me into a fanatic.
So I let her have her way
Did everything she wanted,
As long as our relationship
Was never overtly flaunted.

I guess I am such a wimp
That takes too long to see
That what was wrong was her,
And was never really me.
I’ve never known what’s wrong
I’ve done everything I can.
I didn’t even break up with her
When I discovered she’s a man.

There are many of you that seem
To wish the rest of us were dead;
That they never had to listen
To a single word we have said.
They are not bright enough
Within themselves to understand
That we are the working people;
We are the backbone of the land.

Who do you think worked so hard?
Who do you think saved you?
Who was it backed civil rights?
Yes, us, but few of you do.

Who will pay folks to bellow
And shout to sell their junk?
Who will offer them the money
They use for food and bunk?
Who will bribe them with gifts
And tickets to the best shows?
Who will kiss their lazy *****?
Who cares? Not them, we know.

Who do you think worked so hard?
Who do you think saved you?
Who was it backed civil rights?
Yes, us, but few of you do.

Who was it that lost all sight
Of the big picture and what it means.
Who was it you sent to wars
While you and clerks counted beans?
Who was it that paid for bailouts
Of banks you gave free rides?
Who is it pays all the taxes
For the mansions you cower inside?

Who do you think worked so hard?
Who do you think saved you?
Who was it backed civil rights?
Yes, us, but few of you do.

Memory can be a trickster
The part of the mind that is devious
The prankster, the liar, the cheat
The rascal that is often mischievous.
Memory can enlarge and diminish,
Or capriciously decide to desert you.
It can make a disappointment of truth
Or make an dreadful lie seem true.

Houses you used to know very well
Suddenly have shrunk so small.
Pathways you thought you knew
No longer go anywhere at all.
Music that once swelled the heart
Now seems like so much noise
Memory has sneaked in to the mind
And run off with some of the joys.

People you once depended on
Have faces or names you forgot.
Cherished books from yesterday
Must be reread to recover the plot.
Some favorite rhymes once quoted
To entertain and maybe just amuse
Are no longer stashed in the memory
Right there for you to pick up and use.

Games and hobbies, old favorites
No longer carry that much charm.
Along with other forgotten things
They seem to have come to some harm.
That’s not to say this is everything
And nothing remains sweet and true.
I know for the rest of my life
I will always remember you.

Lily White lives in an apartment castle
Because mansions are a such a hassle.
He doesn’t need a chauffeur or a car
And he likes things the way they are.

But Lily White turns out has ambition
And won’t confine himself to his kitchen
Or the gold faucets of his gaudy john.
No, he has plans he is insisting on.

He wants to be the king of the land
Make everything his and splendidly grand,
Well, at least in his ridiculous opinion
But isn’t that ambition’s definition?

As much as it gripes him to enlist aid
(He knows that means they must be paid),
He gathered around himself a few;
A set of seven J.O.R.F.s that would do.

Do, in this case, means what he may dictate
Whether or not it’s an ethical mandate
Because they are members on a mission
From the American J.O.R.F. coalition.

The name is an acronym, in gold ink;
When spelled out is for ******* Rat Finks
And they set about hiding behind the tails
Of Lily White, thinking they can’t be jailed.

With the disgusting plans made and done
It’s almost like they used a golden gun
To mow down the rights of the many
And fear began that we wouldn’t have any.

But, Lily White is a liar and a greedy ***.
It is our job to see that they all get some
Tar and some feathers and a rail to ride
To a federal prison with them all inside.
