Your aura
Is like the fog
underneath the blue sky
beckoning the ground
and settling peacefully, pure.
Thick and lustrous,
completing the world
with every part,
every breath of you.
h e
You always believed
yourself to have powers
to thaw the ice
that wrapped itself
in thick sheets
around my heart
I always thought
they were impenetrable
but true as told
your superpowers worked
like magic
or really bad voodoo
because I didn't like
the way you led
yourself into the heart
I meant to keep inside
my chest alone
and unoccupied
and just left there
in my chest- the only
place it's ever
going to be in

How do you make yourself
comfortable in
my heart when I
myself am not comfortable
nor confident it can
keep a beautiful person
like you

I want my heart to stay
the way it was
before anything involving
you had ever even occurred
because my heart
belongs only to my
hollow chest
that had kept it for long
from warmth
people like you carry
and your warm smile
and warm eyes
and warm touch
are not enough to
cover yourself
from the coldness that
is my heart so
best keep away
than freeze
in a forever
that will do you no good
The title was supposed to be [s h e] to make it a POV of a guy but it works both ways so why not turn it to [h e], right? This was inspired by my friend's work [s u n s u m] and the line "It's too cold for you here." from the song [s w e a t e r - w e a t h e r] by [t h e - n e i g h b o r h o o d]
radio playing, laughter transforms
into screams, metal crunching and
closing in, a flash of red hair,
or is it blood

the smell of dirt and smoke,
hands pull me from the wreckage,
covered in crimson water that
is not my own

            searching eyes and choked shrieks,
            where are they, where are-

face-down, still, twisted into
unnatural positions, unconscious,
the deafening screams are my
own, falling to my knees

helpless, seeing red but not in
anger, somewhere an ambulance
arrives, parents and bystanders
watch with unwavering fear

they scream for their mother, and
            she is not breathing anymore-

uncontrollable shaking, a breath is
finally taken, but the battle is not won,
rushing, bright lights, tears and mud
staining my cheeks

she can only see shadows, his neck
is broken, another scream, a phone goes
off in the next room, a man in uniform
takes my hand and doesn't let go

Feature and Interview with Me: http://people-are-amazing.com/seize-the-day/
Tranquil places rivers run
Shadows hiding from the Sun
Reason found amongst the days
Listen now the wise man says

To stories buried deep in time
Feelings growing now just fine
Happiness found in peoples smiles
Resting now to watch awhile

Seeking truth in life’s honesty
Struggles won now to be free
Amongst the dreams somehow complete
Marvel now how large the feat

That brings us to this place of rest
Somehow now we’ve passed the test
Choosing now our chosen way
Deciding now to sit to stay

Out of fast lane and duress
Sorting now pasts cluttered mess
Building on foundations new
Truth and honesty now we view

As old friends meet along the way
Morning sunrise calls new day
Unfolding now new mysteries
Choices now for he who sees
