Give me wings
Let skin and sinew rip
Quill and quiver bursting out

Spread
Flex
Stretch

Let me fly towards the sun
Take shelter in the rain and storm
Choose my own path
Build my own home

Give me wings
And I will leave footprints in the clouds
Bethany Gorman Mar 2016
It is an ocean
And my little boat is weak and weary from the waves
Praying for some rain, and starlight
And a song to send me on my way

My friends are gone
Sailed off to fairer shores than mine
My map is dust
And home my compass cannot find
Unfinished

Feast

Eat me darling
Devour every inch
Feast upon my willing flesh
And soothe my tortured itch

Here's milk for you to quench with
And cream for you to taste
Little nibbles here and there
Don't leave a bit to waste

Tie me to the table
And take of me your fill
Starter, main and dessert of course
Bend me to your will

And when you're full and sated
And can't take one more bite
I'll save all of the leftovers
For a little snack at night
