People loose feelings for all sorts of reasons
It was small things like in the way you poured cream in my coffee and a tablespoon too much of sugar
I like black coffee
It was in the way you said I love you
Screaming it from rooftops with feigned patience
I could've said it louder instead of whispering it with promise
You think alcohol tastes bitter and fruity
I think it tastes like love and regret
You thought it was our differences that brought us closer
I thought they ripped us apart
You left me silently like a sunrise at 6 am
I left you like you were a stranger on a bus
You didn't have the courage to say goodbye or to watch me cry
I didn't have the nerve to ask how or more importantly why
You remember me as the first person you fell in love with
I remember you as the last person to break my heart
You told me, "I don't think you're the right one for me anymore"
I told you, "I hope you find whatever you need that you couldn't find in me"
8 months ago for the last time you told me you loved me
I see you today and I almost say it back
I think in order to let go you gotta express it all and make your own closure. This was mine and I'm happy to say I'm over it now.

Beware of them
As a lover or a friend
As a family or a foe
As a passerby or a neighbor

Because they hide as they stand on the stage
They put you on a mind-boggling maze
They set you on an endless chase
With no one else but with your own tail

Because they shout in silence
They scream using pen
Using only pseudonyms
They want you to both understand and not understand what they mean

Because they conceal as they express
Behind figure of speeches
They'll have you take a guess
When you do, you're already checkmate in chess

Beware of them
Because they are contrasting beings
Living in a world of what-ifs
Living between reality and dreams

Dreams for family, rage for a foe
Feelings for lovers, concern for a friend
Observation in a passerby, rumors from a neighbor
They turn it into words, rhyming at the end

Because they are but they are not
Because they do but they don't
Because they are cowards but they have guts
Because they will but they won't

Because they are two-faced people
Because they are at different places at the same time
Because they push and they pull
Because they have truths and they have lies

Oh beware of them
Because they're simply complicated
Because they're famous yet anonymous
Because they'll always have you choose

Punctuation marks the hesitancy in this conversation and
I can't help but dwell on words resting unspoken between
commas, ellipses and apostrophes;the
Spaces between letters where sounds sleep, vibrations
strike empty chords and fall short of expression.
When you love someone on the internet and you've never met...and all you have are text messages....

I do not see that which others
Do see, blindly do they follow,
Am I the fool or is it thee.

I follow no one but myself, not
Imagined to belive in some thing
Unseen, but I know that the strength
I have comes from me.

I will not folllow that which tells me
That which I can do and see, to believe
In others is the only thing that is real
As they belive in me.

I will not be the sheep that follows
The shepard, as what he does not
Say is you are the meat, the bone, there
Are many that will follow but many
Are just meat.

I follow my own path, not what
Others tell me is right in a book,
That i should follow there word as
It is the right path for me.

I have strengh not in that which I
Can not see, but in me and those
That are close, I am not godless
  I just belive in me.

Angel?

In That Moonlit Night Standing In The Abaft,
Watching The Towed Flaccid Wooden Raft,
I Thought That I Saw An Angel Resting,
Lying Exhausted There In That Craft.

I Call The Girl Out Unbeknownst Of Her Kind Name,
"Hey Young Lady!!" To Which She Didn't Much Respond,
She Looked Up Towards Me Once In Anguish & Collapsed,
I See Desperation In Her Amber Eyes & Resolve To Help Her.

The Crewmen Had Now Been Doing The Paddles After Resting,
I Summon My Captain & Ask, "Do You See That Girl In The Raft?"
The Senile Captain Smiles To Say, "Commodore, Better Get Married,"
I Look Just Clueless To Which He Simply Replies, "There Is No Girl."

True He Was As She Had Simply Disappeared,
I Started Thinking Of My Sleep Needs That Day,
I Looked Around Again In A Hope To Find The Girl,
I Had Compromised My Routine As The Commodore.

Then I Immediately Realized It Was My Wild Phantasm,
Now This Was Just A Plain Illusion Of A Tired Sailor's Mind,
No Mermaids Could Have Ever Existed In Reality & Were Fake,
I Turned Towards The Deck To Go Back To My Bunk For Sleeping.

As I Climbed Down The Stairs To Enter My Room Amazed & Dazed,
I Saw Her Standing And Waiting For Me By The Side Of My Bunk,
I Accepted That Delusion Of My Mind & Started To Lie Down,
She Said, "I'm As Real As Your Thoughts, Don't Fear Me."

She & I-Me & Her, Had The Best Time That Night,
In The Morning She Was Gone & Was Just Gone,
Disappeared Into Thin Air While I Was Asleep,
Each Day I So Dearly Long For Her To Return.
