The Moon

~
Romantics find her flawless
and the mystics find her wise.
The ancients found "The Huntress"
in her sharp and searching eyes.
Italians say "bela luna"
when they look at her and sigh.
The cavemen painted pictures
as they wondered at the sky.
The moon has many faces
and her light's a work of art...
And to the simple poet...
she is tonic for the heart.

They all have ostracized rhyming,
Poets, themselves they be calling...

The F-words aplenty they use,
And they think they look cool...

Rescue the language if possible,
Listen to its cries, they are not bearable.

Familiar sights,
I'm covered in bites
and the ants crawl
and the night falls.
Spring comes,
lights aspire
King's set fire
October, the time of falling
Time has no meaning, it is tainted
and our lives are painted.
Wrote this in 2016. One of my favorites/most memorable.

Parker
when i stare at the sky searching for the dim moonlight i see your face in the stars.
when i look for seashells on the beach i see your face in the waves.
when i walk through the forest i see your face in the trees.
when im asked for my definition of perfect the first thing i see is you. your smile, your eyes, your hair, your shoulders.
i see you. youre my definition of perfect.
and no matter what you say, or do. you always will be
I want to leave a footprint
Saying I was here
I want to make a better world
For the next 1000 years
Maybe I’m delusional
With lofty selfish goals
Or maybe I’m just curious
To watch my legend grow
So I take each day
One each as it’s own
For I know that one day
I’ll be just skull and bones

little
I miss you

You can't see this

Inside jokes
Restaurants
Laughing
High fives

It's hard to walk away
I love some memories

Questions
Distrust
Anger
Bruises

You can't see this

And that's ok
