Little after 2am, I was texting driving home
Time was slipping into mounds of sand
You were joking, playing games
Texting me that it was early and
You haven’t got your kiss
Texted you that anything was possible if
You came and brought Champagne
Mind fuzzy, lost in thought
Seemed my drive it took forever cause
Your reply, it never came
Parked my car and thought to call you
Just to see if you’re awake
Never got the chance to do it cause
I saw you at my door
Flames of red and curly hair
Freckles on your cheeks, smile on your lips
And in your hand a bottle of Champagne
Beautiful way to end the cold and sad December.

Most nurses are masters of unconditional love.
Of this I am sure for I know from experience
So many underrated but are devoted to a job
Trained in a most professional way to care.

Nurses have empathy with all of their patients
Understanding their every desire and need.
Rarely would they get it wrong or misdiagnose
Stressful be their drug broadcasting daily
Even in their dreams their caution carries thru
So have faith in your nurse n love her always

And that love will be returned to you tenfold
Realistically she is always reacting in the now
Extending the realms of possibilities beyond

Most nurses are masters of unconditional love
And that is a fact that I have experience of.
Simply mastering the loving care of every soul
Thereby giving the patient every chance of life
Ethereal care by sharing their skills as a nurse
Reacting in a way that’s foreign to the majority
Soul searching to cope with all of mankind.

Of every colour , creed , religion or belief.
Fake Goddesses come n go, the nurse is true.

Universal cosmic powers are in the nurses kit
Natural paths of holistic healing with all skills
Characteristic of every nurse that I’ve known.
Oh I have absolutely no doubt about this fact
No doubts at all , as I will continue to relate.
Duty dictates that I sing their constant praises.
I love all the nursing community a given.
They have been in my life since childhood.
Irish nursing staff worked alongside my mother
On many occasions nurses from West Indies
Nursing schools through the 1960’s provided
A beautiful partner for me as a dancing pal.
Liquor is often the tonic for nurses to enjoy

Loving a nurse as one of the greatest loves
On a scale of one to ten .... I give it a ten.
Victory if you ever get to marry a nurse.
Everlasting will be the happiness you will gain

I like for you to be still
It is as though you are absent
And you hear me from far away
And my voice does not touch you
It seems as though your eyes had flown away
And it seems that a kiss had sealed your mouth
As all things are filled with my soul
You emerge from the things
Filled with my soul
You are like my soul
A butterfly of dream
And you are like the word: Melancholy

I like for you to be still
And you seem far away
It sounds as though you are lamenting
A butterfly cooing like a dove
And you hear me from far away
And my voice does not reach you
Let me come to be still in your silence
And let me talk to you with your silence
That is bright as a lamp
Simple, as a ring
You are like the night
With its stillness and constellations
Your silence is that of a star
As remote and candid

I like for you to be still
It is as though you are absent
Distant and full of sorrow
So you would've died
One word then, One smile is enough
And I'm happy;
Happy that it's not true

I long for you in the way the night
struggles to envelop the Earth daily,
in the ways in which I fear
my words will never be enough
for your crystalline heart.
I want to fall like raindrops
into your hair on Sunday morning,
when it is time for me to go,
and there are clouds in your eyes.
I have prayed for you eternally;
hold me close and I'll wrap you
into me as the daylight fades to dark.
Let us never know another lonesome night,
not until we are old and frail
and content with the life we have lived.
I know it's asking a lot, but it's worth striving for.
The poet in me washes away
The calling card of the hero
Fades away like age
Tossing the leaves in the summer breeze
For the old people
With my hand
I look at the secret spot of poets
It's under a sycamore tree
Full of metaphor and rhyme
My hand is raking leaves
As I search for my deeply buried
Poetry
American Beauty- Grateful Dead
Make me a flower delicate and sweet,
spewing fragrance into the blowing breeze .
Make me a violin from whose strings
melody flows to soothe the ailing nerves .
Make me a rain cloud, sailing over
the breadth and length of skies
showering cooling droplets on to the thirsting Earth.
Make me a lamp shedding beams of light
dissipating darkness from the mazy depths of gloom .
Make me a vessel full with love to pour out
into all empty pitchers.

Let every atom of my being throb with Thy filling love
Let it spring forth in jets to form the gushing stream
Let the Earth wear a celestial charm
Let the plants celebrate the carnival of colors

In my basket, I shall gather many a fragrant bloom
to be offered at your feet with love
and remain squatted in Thy presence ,
not losing in the pageant of this transient life.

I wait for

The PEACE to dawn upon in a world where violence rules
where hate like worms eat into the core
and the air rent with fears – illusory and real

I wait for

The LIGHT to break into me to see myself bare!
to hear the music of your heart, over the cacophony around
and to sing songs of spontaneous praise!

Give me Light, Oh Lord! Clear brilliant Light,
not to enjoy the wayside scenes
but that I shall not stumble and fall.

With a severe constraint of time, I have to take a break from HP, may not be posting fresh poems for sometime. Thanks to all my friends from the bottom of my heart for all the love and encouragement you generously gave me and for your guidance and support in my poetic journey!
In the cusp between the current year and the dawning year, may I wish all my dear friends a New Year of Peace, Joy and all of God's Blessings!
Another wilted year went by
Hello brings hope for fresh blossoms
Weeds overgrown of yesteryear brought pain
Comfort is yearning that 2019 blasts off
On a garden of angels
Devils you be mute
Voices of evil you be lost
Find me my angels waking me up
Down wind of the albatross' wrath
Hoping angels wing now take flight on this New Year Eve
Dawn's a be a new year, a new light
Heavy are my steps as I knock on the
door

If a person sees themselves in the same boat I am in, 2018 Titanic like, the hope is that the tip of the iceberg has passed and that the future has wins and winds in our sails. I wish everyone at HP the very best in the coming year.

The sun old soul, eternally luminous
The moon in its phases, a timeless jewel

The time of the year has come to shed the old and don
the new
It’s just a number, that’s true
Each, a new day, the night, too

To reminisce what was and gear up for what is to come with a new zeal
On the New Year’s Eve

Celebrate with loved ones
Enjoy the night and be alright

May happy be the new, New
I hope and pray for one and all

Happy New Year, dear all :) ✨✨
