when you pull out your crayons
colour me happy
and when you do
draw outside the lines

choose the colours
that are seldom used
then draw from me easy
that which is hardest to find
Tan
The sun kissed her
skin to a passionate burn
******* all the energy
from her
yet she was able
to float with the
turbulent waves
of that ocean
as they
complemented
those of her
heart
what was it like living in exile
you tell me how it was meant to be
you constructed that hell with your own hands
poisoned the water and salted earth
created smoke fires devoid warmth
you planned my death
a permanent exile
and you nearly got your wish

@journeyofdays
Do you want to feel better?
Then stop playing the victim
Start acting like a survivor.

Even if your gut
And heart
Are telling you it's hopeless.

Your brain is an ***** and a muscle.
It keeps you alive.
And it works if you work it.

Your heart and your gut can heal
If you eat right and get outside.

Begin taking care of yourself.
Set limits for others,
And be kind when
It's mutually beneficial.
Then sometimes when it's not.
And when you feel great,
Do that a lot.

Soon you will teach someone else
To be a survivor
And then you become
A thriver.

Peace and joy
Together
Comes only
To those who have earned it
For themselves.

Atul was murdered.
In broad daylight he was slain.
Finally death had got him.
His windpipe was slit open.
But a bigger surprise awaited.
The doctors performed autopsy.
His heart was found to be missing.

His diary read:
*My chest is empty,
No heart shall ever beat,
What l feared the most,
It only did repeat,
The lover I trusted,
She walked away with my heart.

If only time stood still
Then nothing would happen in this world you may think that sounds kind of appealing
No babies born, no humans killed

If Billy had forgotten his lunch
Then ran back to pick it up
If he'd have left the house just a minute later
And into the traffic got stuck
Then he wouldn't have been driving his for
At 15:47 down Chahito Boulevard
Where on that saturday morning
Amy Rodriguez she crossed the road

If only time stood still
Then nothing would happen in this world you may think that sounds kind of appealing
No babies born, no humans killed

If Amy hadn't snoozed that morning alarm at 5:45am
Then 2 minutes later she rose up, slipped into her office dress
And if the rain she fell, then the car would've been a better way
To get her to the working station, that Saturday
Billy's phone rang out, his head bowed down
A big old bang on the hood of his car, Amy lay silent, people gather around
Fifteen seconds later she'd have crossed path to path
If the phone didn't ring oh ain't irony a funny thing, we'd still be hearing Any's laugh

Now all the guilt in the world can't change what's happened you live with what you've got
A second here or there can make a lifetime of difference, something i've never really thought

Now Billy's old and can sit on his porch with grandchildren dancing at his feet
But he lives with the thoughts that if he slept 2 minutes longer Amy Rodriguez would still be walking these streets
Lemons (and a lemon squeezer)
sticky notes
a family that I can talk to
a life I'd like to live
a world I'd actually like to live in
to love, so I don't have any time left to hate
to stop enduring for things I shouldn't have to
to be different, but also myself
to stop crying, get up off my ***, and actually do something about it.

Just Me R
The scars we carry is our legacy of love
The deeper they are, the more we felt hurt
