That's all they are.
Demanding you do as they say, but then a day or two later they're doing the exact same thing they told you not to.
Telling you to believe in one thing, when they dont even believe it themselves.
Speaking of wild times in their past lives, while forcing you to stay home on a weekend and study.
Continuously pestering you to try your best, when one of them is a drop out who acts like a child.
Whining that you never open up to them, ignoring the times you had started to but they were "too busy".
Continuously wanting you to act more adult, while treating you like a child, though in less than 2 months you'll be more adult than they will ever be.
Telling you to come out of your room, that you spend too much time there, yet that is the only place you feel you can be yourself,
the only place you can feel free.
Some may of been blessed with amazing parents, but at times..that is not the case for me.

i hear their teeth
gnashing and chomping
screaming horrid songs
deep beneath a swamp
of shattered dreams
and things i'll never be
a set of self fulfilling prophecies
keeping them at bay would be easy
if i wasn't so ******* weak

Life is dull; music bores me.
Dancing is tiring; rhythm can't absorb me.
At least I'm not the only one
who plays these games purely for fun.
Someone held my gun in their hand,
took all the power held within me.
My feet don't control my body
and my mind and soul are disconnected.
I don't feel real, yet I always feel threatened.
This constant cycle is repressive and controlling.

If you pick me, you will forever live in poetry land.
Flowers blooming all the time.
If you pick me, you will always be enlightened with the word.
In the word our life will be sustained.
In all directions, I will protect your heart, mind, and spirit.
Falling into temptation, never making it my intention.
If you pick me, our love will overflow like a river in every season of life.
Breathing life,
Exhaling hope, despite all the chaos in this world.
But before anything,
you must be His favorite one for me.

She's beautiful, with her smile beaming like the sun.
And her big blue eyes taking me on a journey much farther than the deepest depths of the ocean.
Her porcelain like skin covered in small speck's of brown.
Her hair long and flowing, with the sweetest smell of vanilla.
Her delicate fingers covered in rings of all kinds.
Her voice most unusual, as well as the most beautiful hymn ever heard.
Her beauty could make an army of men halt.
Yet no matter how many time's I tell her of her beauty, she has yet to agree.

A future being the possibilities
The ecology being the reality
It’s a small world
But coming together in keeping the world around
The next stop, “Robotics”
Well robotics have been around for a while
In fact, some companies have incorporated as their style
I was exposed to this myself like nobody else
Tomorrowland took you on a journey from yesterday
It’s being ahead of time and what you could expect combined
Electronics being more advanced
Perhaps feeling like you were in a trance
A wish come true
But it is understanding that is truly due
Think not what’s in the present, but look beyond in being prepared
A change could come and you would be loss
Not a dream from a turn being a toss
An eye catching pitch being the force
Global warming in society in making you think
Even though the movie didn’t touch on
It’s about Earth in knowing where you belong and everlasting be long
Tomorrow is steadily moving into the Earth’s future
All the citizens on earth we all have a job to do in seeing tomorrow as our destiny
Tomorrow maybe seen as a distance
But change can come in an instance
World of tomorrow with action beginning yesterday
Hold on tight and buckle up, as we have a journey in flight for a look see of what the future could be like
Disney’s vision, but no need for revision
The focus is clear and tomorrow is getting quite near.

It seems lately as if every reply
Is "Oh, I'm just living the dream."
Its been heard so many times
That it's really got me thinking
"If all that we see or seem is a dream within a dream.,"
Then this whole coincidence is just what it seems

Time to change the tune
Loud and clear
Walk to the beat of a different drum
Rise and shine
Take control
Raise awareness
Let go of our fears
Close off the dark
With each waking moment
Open our consciousness to the light

No more over sleeping
No more over thinking
Daily reminders set, until the alarm beeps
Routinely strengthen the mindset
See the birdie, know it's part of the dream
See the numbers, know it's part of the dream
Hear the song, know it's part of the dream

Understanding is knowing
Knowing is Awakening
Awakening is living
Living is life
