a dead dog hangs itself
the only way it knows how-
with honor.

a head-hunter dreams
the only way it can-
in vivid colorful horror.

an assembly line designed
to pour quicksand
down the mouths of robots.

we keep the truth hidden.
the ground we walk lost.
a table top cloth.
a mind shattering meal
of silence not deafness.
My soul envies my eyes, my heart longs to see
Just for one moment. For my eyes have done what I
Have failed to do: held you.
How long have I looked at you laugh
And cried inside? How have I drowned
I love you
From fighting to your lips but with my tears?
And yet I strive, I yearn, I hope
You will see me and
An envious heart in your chest might revolt;
I might inspire some holy endeavour in your soul
You look into my eyes, hold my gaze

I look away
You understand now
I was too open too fast and again you know me better
All of me was in my eyes but I couldn't find your heart
I suppose it wasn't there for me to find.
The ending is what I'm most hesitant about. In life and literature.
You opened your sun roof,
It'd been hours
Your arm around me,
No man-made move.

We started at the stars,
You let out your thoughts
And I couldn't believe who you'd become,
Who you are.

You'll never be mine,
I will never be yours
But in that moment
I wanted a little more.

As time progressed
And the stars dimmed
I laid my seat back
And let you do the rest.

The music playing
Got lower
And as your lips found mine
I'd forgotten everything we'd been saying.
Time had paused,
We were back to that time when we were
Kids
and the stars soared.

No truth in the air,
Your hands on my hips
No internal despair.

18, 19.
The stars are out
And the boy I once saw,
Once wanted
Is finally seen.

But the sun will come up,
And the sun roof will close
And time will resume
And we will never again be as close.

I want to write you something.
It's a feeling unlike anything
Elsewhere, that I've been looking.
Inspiration strikes me, only
Once I'm filled with longing to
Douse myself under your beautiful
Aura of rainbows cascading from
Your Crown, radiating from your brow
Your hips whisper while they sway around,
My desires are kept locked away
And yet, your lips hold the key.
Next time you see me,
Kiss my mouth like you mean it;
Free us both from loves chains.
I've seen it all
Nations rise
While empires fall
And I realize
We're nothing
If not small
My soul
Has watched
And waited
Wearily
Wrestling
A restless mind
I find
There will always be time

And my soul endures

The passage of decades
Which become centuries
And centuries
Become millennia

And still my soul endures

I have popped up in history
Too many times
For me to mention

The common
Correlation
Correcting
This cosmic
Chaos
Cautiously
Catering
To a cannibalistic
Consciousness
Corrals me in contempt

But I'm content

I know and remember my lives
All of them
I see their memories
And I see their deaths
I see their enemies
Whenever I take a breath

I see monsters
And ravens
In my dreams

I feel those personalities
Pushing at my seams

A claim like this
I know
It's bold
And I will always endure

As the Millennium soul...
