They say love hurts
mine kills me
stabs my heart
until I bleed

Dency
You are my ruin
And still,I beg
To be broken again
By your touch.

So I wait ,
Like ruins do
Quiet
Bleeding
Beautiful
Still hoping
You'll come back
And break me again.

I sit there in my room each night
Wondering if this is what life is supposed to feel like

In my room, I cry alone
Just wishing I was ever known

I sit there on my comforting little bed
My safe place, crying till my eyes get red

I have a family, friends and more
But feel like i'm locked in a cage behind my door

I sit there on my bed every night
Just praying for me to feel alright

I put a smile for everyone there
Pushing down this feeling of despair

What’s life is like for others, I wonder every night
Just dreaming, in my bed, trying to feel alright

I sit there in my room each night
Wondering if this is what life is supposed to feel like

What if the world stopped fighting forever
No more wars, or bloodshed whatsoever?

No bombs, or people living in fear,
Just wishing everyday that their family is safe and near

Imagine the news with celebrations,
not photos of victims or people devastated.

Let us make make this world peaceful again
Power is useless with no citizens

Children don’t deserve this trauma,
Please let us stop all this drama

I wish to see a world where different races get along
Learn traditions and celebrations, not believe that the others are ‘wrong’

Let us make this world peaceful again
For if we don’t we might all take our last breaths…
White brick,
Metal chains.
Locked In,
So afraid.

Metal clinking,
against concrete.
No escape.
Locked in,
It’s fate.

A small cot,
Made of wood.
In the corner,
White concrete floor,
I shuffle my feet,
Towards the door.

I gave up screaming,
long ago.
I gave up because—
No one could hear me,
Yell.
So now I sink low—
To the concrete,
And look out,
But all I see,
Is more white walls,
So know I doubt myself.

The metal chain,
Weighing me down,
Like a brick.

A chain of—
Regret.
Shame.
Pain.
Sadness.
Fear.
Anxiety.
Anger.

I’m stuck in this,
walled concrete cell.
With thick metal-
Bars
Metal chains,
Weighing me down,
Forming deep scars.
From those already there.

This room,
I’m trapped.
It has always lasted,
I’m stuck here,
Always tested.

I hope one day.
I’ll break the chains.
But Im still stuck,
Attached to this wall,
In this cage,
In this room,
Debating if I can ever change.

Scandalous beauty
Rotting in view
Why was I always the
Sacrificial lamb
I should have
Taken an oath
To draw myself closer
To you sooner
Instead I allowed
The evil to wear me like
A sad painting
Soaking up my sanity inch by inch
Consuming me
Entirely to often
All my praises
Belong to you from here on out
What happened before
Shouldn’t matter
Yet it still displaces my being
Ball and chain
Breaking rocks falling face first
I never had a say
As I was blindsided
By a life I would have written
Differently and had
It been more decent
Terrorized by
Meaningless tyrants
Like a sick addiction
It became maddening
Forgiveness
Is a skill
I’ve never quite mastered
And probably never will
My tarnished
Image split me in two
Mirroring a hologram
Left to pick up the pieces
Has never reflected well
In my direction
As I’ve stared it all in the face
The mirrors
That have broken me apart
Sadly to this day
Are the ones I hate the most

the impulse palpable,
the urge to urgent,

progeny of disheveled skies

words fused, in irregular sizes,
senses censured by drowsy eyes,

a bright sun grilled day, in a cold June
Juneteenth 3025

on the Isle of, in the piet's nook
There's no love
And there's no hate
But what is left for me to feel
Is too complicated to calculate
Impossible to translate
In this present state
A mind entwined
A jumbled mess
Shrouded in a new darkness
Nights turn sleepless
As I become a man possessed
By the hopeless

She’s distant,
still a thousand stars from a dream,
The hat keeps dropping
But her wits can’t see the person he’s being.

And with a heart break she wanders back,
She pleads with his silence,
Leaving her senses,
In love with the lies that were making her crack.

She’s given herself,
She’s fallen apart,
Addicted to chaos and turbulent starts.

Sometimes she’d just lay with her head on his chest,
Watch the sky to the beat of his heart,
She’d gaze and she’d wonder if she’d given her best,
Or if her love was a piece of lost art.

And the mayhem consumed her,
She fought, and she bled,
For a dream that was left to a place in her head,
She’s a lover,
A giver,
She’s wild at heart,
On a quest that led her right back to the start x

Back porch blues
I’m seeing ghosts
Skimming through
The pages
Burning bridges
Searching
For glory in my hell
Unaccompanied
Guilty innocence
What a pity
Had it all stripped just like that
Orphaned
That look in your
Eyes that echos in pain
The sad little
Boy who cried
Wolf and no one came
Running to save him
How could his parents
Be so cruel
Abandon him in the direst
Of moments
That would shape the sands
Of time
What would the future hold
Wish I would have never known
The answers to that
Now a man struggling
With what ifs
All I wanted was to be a boy
And enjoy my childhood
Wondering where all the time went
Wasting away
In the distant cries
Of a youth that took me under with it
