women don't know how to love

Now he journeys through time
Down the aching years
Things that he's seen and done
Some good and wondrous
And some of them terrible

All the things he's said
Within his nodding head

Tears pour down his face
Down the canyons grooved by time
And yet he smiles
Gently and softly
There must be a rainbow

Frosty winter pond
Water glass obscured by snow
Fish dance in private

If I lay
Still in
The darkness
Of night
I can hear the
Rhythmic sound
Of the clock
I time in
My mind
The tic after the
Last tock
The soothing
Sound of
Chimes
Singing in
The wind
Even the
Churning of
My stomach
Making rounds
The yapping of
A dog far
Down.
The street
Stillness fills
The air
And an angel's
Sigh
Waiting to.
Be heard

This is the most deleterious part

of being over--positive

hopes and expectations are raised

beyond ability---such could bring much grief!
