soldiers of misfortune
firing against the invinsible enemy.

The wounds open, refusing to heal.
The years of not understanding,
misunderstandings, confusion, denial
and self-loathing.


Time is running out in her mind.

Sea settling,
Birds flying,
Air whistling,
Storm coming.

People leaving,
Raindrops falling,
Clouds gathering,
Storm coming.

Sun hiding,
Wind howling,
Waves thrashing,
Storm coming.

Lightning striking,
Dogs cowering,
Thunder rumbling,
Storm coming.

Tree's creaking,
Lighthouse flashing,
Ships crashing,

Rocks falling,
