Stagnant waters trapped
Her with its stillness
Its toxic fumes
Colored her thoughts and deeds
Caught and imprisoned
Within the odious waters
She waged a battle
To fight her way out
So tired, was she, of the
Poisonous waters
Now, she seeks still waters
That run deep
Protecting her passions
Feeding her heart and soul
Through its ripples
And fragrant light

Our hearts beat with an ecstatic pulse
the spotlights lights flickering our movements,
an impulse

we break from our dance and head through the crowd
Outside we huddle under a starry sky with not one cloud

we move in close holding each other
then the music ends and I begin to shudder

out in the dark, I sit alone...

I stare up, at the terrible black sky
That was her dream, her job, to fly

Like the tear that runs down my cheek
your plane made a fiery streak

I close my eyes and play your song
Remembering a time when I was strong
Silence fell without you there, I longed for the answers that you did not share

I prayed and wished for your return
At least one last goodbye...

So I traveled far, to a place of hope
Where I rediscovered myself, in searching for a way to cope

Awakened within, and set to return home soon
The memory of you a fading wound

Like the whisper of a ghost, your voice suddenly becoming clear
You had lost yourself, and those who held you dear

You were right it won't be the same,
But know that nothing can extinguish our flame

With Life slowly flowing back to how it used to be,
I Now savor every moment that you spend with me.

I believe that now,
more than ever,
we are in need of souls
that pour their hearts
onto paper at 3am.

When the world is quiet,
that's when we hear the best.

Insecurities
burn her from inside.
I can see it in her shy timid eyes.
The way they dart and hide
masking confidence
with white little lies.

Electric thoughts, wavelength blues
Your mind's creations are possible clues
You signaled thoughts right through time
And then I knew you were almost mine
Cold brew jitters keep me awake
I'm wary that my soul you'll take
You'll strip me cold and leave me naked
And rob me of all that's sacred
Mascara runs down my face
I knew I was in the wrong place
My tears you ignored- no, you did not fret because your brain was sopping wet
I tried to message you right back
But all in vain  - it just went black
Your mind I did not understand
But it didn't matter when you took my hand
But now you've gone and disappeared
And left me here with all I feared
Voltage  thoughts all are blocked
And now your twitter I see is locked
I almost fell in love with you
But danger signs around me grew
I wish you currents of  electricity
And all you are and want to be
Seems as we age we tend to wander back to yesterday
Our memories cling to personal things of times now far away
As one by one Life calls us out we move on up the queue
Towards the space left empty by the loved ones we once knew

If there's one thing I know is that I really don't know much
Although my moments may all hang about with life and such
It's very clear to me in living life there's just one chance
I simply let it go and let whatever lead the dance

Acceptance of that profound fact that what will be will be
Is really not a hardship knowing what will come to me
I've lived my life in moments and tried hard to live it well
Could I have done it better? - whatever - only time will tell

However I believe we're born with destinies in place
We may think we are in control but friends that's not the case
One journey ends, another starts, our spirits endless roam
We simply close our eyes and let whatever take us home.
Awakened by her vibrations

His molten rocks sputter,

Preferring to remain undisturbed.

Boiling, brewing, he begun erruption.

Amused by volcano's reaction

she listens and watches,no retaliation.

Considering her own stormy nights

when her lightning bolts strike thrice;

When her clapping of thunder

revolts even the sages

(both above and under).

She places a palm outwards,

blows kisses of cool wind,

To greet his fury,

His sweet love remembered.

His embers, with a smile, are pardoned.

She showers his projecting magma-

With droplets of chilled agua.

Awaited patiently for his red to cool,

to be brown, with help from yellow sun;

So that his lava could reconnect with outer earth-green.

Using a drifting veer she carries a charming flower seed and lays it beside him,

Soft petals soon blossom, rosy and pink.

They both smile gently,
now glowing for each other.

The volcano and Storm are forever in love, in flare and submerged;

Growing compassion and understanding of each other's plates and waves.

Yet neither may burn nor drown

but somehow remain facing the other-

At the very tip of their forbidden lips' kiss- for this day, tomorrow and in endlessness.
