Can I write my life away in poetry?
Living on the screen in words of rhythms
Praising loves sweet embrace and
Pains sharp edges
Quietly showing grace in words that sing in a mind that races daily
Questioning the status quo just to mock my foes with cascading epiphanies.  
A soul leaking words of affirmation to no one and everyone
Believing in the sunrise and sunset of eternal youth and the wisdom of age.
Poetry in motion while working to secure a future for those who don't even realize that its needed
Stormy skies and crystal clear calm of still water becoming what we hastily chase
Screaming to be heard and seen by those who try desperately to erase their own insecurities
Practicing patience to evolve the soul ever higher on the chain of grace and woes
Praying for understanding for ourselves and those we call family
Living, breathing words on paper that build sonnets and tragedies

I see your heart every time we talk
Others have hurt you
I am lost on how to tell you I see
I want the world to feel your heart in your work
Your heart in the world is what makes the light grow stronger
Kindness and love aren't weakness despite what you have been told
It is strength in knowing that the world could have changed you
It is caring for others even when they try to break you
Your heart is love, caring and larger than anyone knows
I want to protect you so that you can do the work that speaks to your soul
I want to sit with you and remind you of love and peace
I want to hug you and tell you it will be alright even when I am not sure it will be
I see your heart
The world needs your heart
Don't let those around your break it
Leave it whole so your heart can heal the world with its spark

My heart was seen today
It made smile and feel soft inside
I can't believe I am finally being me
Its taken so long and lost days and nights
I swore I was seen before but it was lies
Hearts that float by
Feeling whole makes my heart sing
Hearts that are seen are the flames in the dark
Light in a world that needs caring flames of hope
Hearts that feel the hurt and heal with hugs and action

Change is always happening
Change is coming
I do not fear change
I welcome it
I will come out on top
I will fix myself without help
I wanted you to work with me

I wanted to be able to count on you

Did I give you the list to play me?
Do you really want me?
Am I the problem?
Am I forcing something?
Am I too forward?
Do you need me?

Is it lust?

What could this be?
Destiny wrapped up in chaos?
Chaos as destiny?

Everything under the sun is not new
So why do I feel new with you?
The thought of trusting in love again is terrifying
Yet here I sit wishing I could just be in the same room
Breathe next to you
Introverts in love
Quiet space without words or work
Eyes that light my soul on fire
I see you and you see me
Looking at you eating in your own bubble
You didn't see me watching
No one else noticed either
Pure quiet contentment
No thoughts in my brain watching just seeing you
It all feels new to me.
Nothing new in love
Nothing new under the sun

My peace comes from pain
It is my gain
Call my past a loser
It made who you see today
The calm is hiding a storm
Pride keeps me from unleashing
Calm stops my heart from flaming
Peace has come in the form of a quiet mouth
Peace is now in my name
