LOVE

//

in the first FREE morning ...

(

)

in the moment when FEAR is gone

~         ~          ~

soft the girl she wanders the dream

She would see

The boy whose soul is of the world

////

It was a night like any other

////

It was as mystic and full of grace

As any other

//

It was a procession there before her

Of wounded lonely boys and girls

//////

Simple as love

In this magic of hours progressing

In this honor
In this dignity

She is a simple humble child

A human and humane being

She wanders the world so full of wonder

She is only the first morning

Come to life again

Down in the Hills of the
Mississippi River Valley
Between the Bluffs and
The river bank in Lansing
Is a Friend named Joe Price,

Born to Play the Blue's
Raised on Farming as a Boy,
Yet was a need he could not lose
He listened to Muddy Waters
And ran out to buy a Guitar

An old 1947 12 String National
Resonator with the Steel Core
He rapped his fingers around
Till his blues skills got honed

He was Destined to play with
Legends like John Lee ******
Willie Dixon and Clifton Chenier
Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee
Along with Muddy Waters and Me

I know I'm no legend but I can't Refuse
When Joe ask me to Sit in on a Knee Slappin'
Hand Clappin version of the Hobo Blues
His work boot stomped a beat
On an old flat piece of wood
As that steel Slide made that Guitar Cry

A Legend behind the Scenes he's
Played from the North down to
The Louisiana Back Bayous
And everything in Between

You'll Never Know that feeling
As the Hair stands on your Neck
This hardly known old Hobo
Was a Legend what the Heck

Till you get a chance to listen
To his Train whistle slide Moan
That 12 string Steel Guitar Tone
That sounds so very Nice
From an Unknown Legend
Name of Joe Price

*His Music can be found on http://www.joepriceblue.com/

The verse may be gentle and Kind
But you find its Terse, when you read between the lines
The moonlight so Full Falls on an Embrace
But some have the Idea that its a Race
The Kiss so tender lips soft Lingering...
But they stab you in the back if the think they can win
Words so sweet, and its known in the End its Only a Poem
Its only a Poem.....JMF 2/26/2015

September
When we were nine, you left your mother's home and told
the world you were going travelling. I still wait—
Hoping that maybe one day you will return with your sanity.

I have been waiting twelve years for you—and nineteen years from now,
I will be nineteen—because today is the day I start living,
sanely.

I find Nirvana in the smallest things,
in the laughter of strangers,
in the perfect edges of morning frost,
in the duvet curled protecting my toes,
in the silence and loneliness of night
and in the chatter of a city street.

I find Nirvana in the hope of things,
in the scent of the sea,
in the tale of far away lands,
in the pictures of distant places,
in the eyes of someone new
and the stories they have to tell.

I find Nirvana in the love for people,
in their parting words on a long trip,
in the bond they make with each other,
in the fortress that is family,
in the affection shown to strangers
and loved ones alike.

I find Nirvana wherever I search,
It is peace and happiness
tranquility and love,
It is in laughter and music
landscapes and faces,
Mostly, it is too often left behind.

Every pigments flash
before our eyes
too fast, too bright
we couldn't grasp,
we couldn't keep up,
we couldn't stop.

Strive to move,
soar to fly.
It will never halt,
it will never falter
Be strong,
Be brave,
live.
We have to endure :)

You
Do you know how you change my mood in a blink of an eye?
The way you smile that brights up my evening sky
Your laughter that makes my heart skip a beat
What I felt when our gaze suddenly meet.

I wish I had the guts to tell you
All the things I wish you knew
All the thoughts lingering in my brain
Dreaming about you kissing me in the rain.
The perks of being a hopeless romantic
