Longing for blue skies
All around stars are falling
Undying they rise

Rest easy my child
Enemies cannot hurt you
Now you're safe and sound
double haiku for you
It comes at the depth of night
this strange echo
in such silence, wordless
its message I hardly know

but a chill runs through my spine
as the night moments gently flow
the moon and stars are watching
in which direction would my love follow?
I heard our song today,
Started to turn it off,
but decided to let it play.

Every line was a memory,
I tried to sing along.

I knew all the words by heart,
but my voice was gone.

When the chorus hit,
all I could see was your face.

Then the rhythm transported me to another place.
A happier time, when you were still mine.

It's been so **** long.
How can I not be fine?

How can that song get me every time?
That beautiful **** song,
Oh how I wished it would end.

Funny thing is,
when it finally did.

I wiped the tears from my eyes,
and as hard as I tried,

I couldn't stop myself
from playing it again.
I Cant Fight this Feeling Anymore-REO Speedwagon, that was our song. Lol
One of those songs I still can't turn off even when I hear it today.

Comment that one song that gets you below

Approaching low these frothy ancient walls
this wooden haul goes groan in hesitation
plays sunken sounds abaft of sodden planks
against wet, wind whipped sheets, slippery rope

Pilot eyes a narrow channel to this coffin's drift
a wheel in fate's hand, spun for all hands deck
one cold sea surge, after another, vaults over
sailor's gritting teeth with sea tears on pale cheeks

Fathoms drowned, as currents swell in rhythmic dance
Davy Jones awaits for those to decompose by chance
a gold doblón, a flipped up sueño, when maelstrom ends
drifting in lines of seaweed lime, or port of heart's content

We'll never admit
     we are each a hybrid:
     the world transferred
into our very blood and flesh-

our self we never did create
    copying, imitating and reproducing
    has long been our estate
    too much indeed for regretting-

    in this our bud-grafting
   our intrinsic has been stolen
   we've lost our original voice
   gone are our moments golden

   and what's left
   is but the living numbness
our will and hope have vanished
and our heart is  bereft and homeless

I want my writing
To be profound
A work of art you just
Want to hang on your wall
And when you look at it
Day in and out
The words will seep
Back through your skin
And melt in your heart
And suddenly, you feel
Like someone you've never met
Knows you better than
Your closest companions
And somehow that's okay
Because now you know
You've never been alone.
I've finished the first draft of my novel. What I want most is to make an impact on those who read it and to know that my words matter.
It’s a broken world
we need imperfect solutions
and there are plenty of questions

is it even possible to correct systemic
problems with individual solutions?

I recycle, so everything’s ok, ya?

some would usher in a revolution
while others would stand pat, thinking
they can marginally beat the house

the young believe the old are problematic,
out of touch and largely to blame for the world
the old push back on youthful, impractical,
self-indulgent and self-righteous idealisms

both groups must eventually wrestle with thorny questions

I doubt we could all agree on a short manifesto
or even a pithy rallying cry.
How about something brutal, almost offensive?

Dylan Thomas suggested we rage against the dying of the light,
but then again, it seems that's all we do these days—rage.

There’s a Korean concept called hwabyung,
or “burning sickness”—an intense, suppressed rage
that can blind and destroy us if we’re not careful

Science says we face a direct and bludgeoning future,
that we must be tenacious with the next phase of our evolution
—but must we be adults? Science is so 2014, and we’re all so smart.

It begins with a whisper,
soft as feathers brushing bone,
a murmur threaded with sweet venom:
You’re too much, you know that?
He says it like love, like it’s kindness
to clip the wings he gave me.

I laugh,
because that’s what you do when
someone you trust steps on your shadow,
calling it a game.
I laugh,
because his smile holds me hostage,
because my silence has become
the price of his calm.

And then it grows,
the laughter sharpens into teeth.
Each word dressed in humor
but hiding the sting.
You’re insane.
He says it with his eyes locked on mine,
searching for the fracture.
You believe anything, don’t you? Idiot.
And the room becomes smaller
as the air folds itself into shame.

I once thought trust
was a ribbon we tied between us,
a thread unbroken.
But he pulls it taut
only to watch me stumble,
to laugh as it frays
beneath the weight of his lies.

I was naive—
yes, that’s true—
to think love was a place of safety,
to believe his words were mine to hold.
But now, his laughter
hangs heavy in the corners,
and I wonder:
when did the joke become me?

It isn’t love
when your softness becomes his sport,
when he laughs at the tender parts
and calls it play.
It isn’t love
to twist innocence into a punchline
and leave the room echoing
with your shame.

But still,
he grins like the sun,
and for a moment,
I almost believe
it’s all in my head.
After I spent many years of abuse I can finally write about it. Sometimes you don't realise things are really wrong until you're out of the situation. I pray noone has to go through this.
The lonely star
shines diamond bright
a jewel with no setting
lost in the cloak of velvet sky
Then an Angel came
and bore him aloft
to set him in the diadem
of the King of Kings
