I will ignite
my hands.
With a
matchstick
on my right,
and my heart
on my left,
Watch me
wonder
which will
burn out faster.

How do you redeem yourself?
How do you forgive yourself?
Oh, in this world full of hate, lies, and opinionated minds,
How do you tell yourself,
"Everything will be fine"?

When circumstances let it,
That you fear to face,
Yet regret not to do it,
How do you tell yourself,
"Everything will be fine"?

When there is nothing left,
No one left whom supports you,
When every force known to man
Has gone against you,
How do you tell yourself,
"Everything will be fine"?

And when people are only pretending to accept you,
when words no longer matter, but only to argue,
How do you accept yourself and say,
"Everything will be fine."

I'm just a moment,
That can last an eternity.

A precious second,
That's worth more your jewelries.

A petite minute,
That can change your life

A blunt hour,
That throws out all the lies.

A weightless week,
That fills all your time.

A merry month,
That can challenge your prime.

And a yonder year,
That's so close yet so far.

So many times,
have I wanted to die.
I've lost count of how many plans
I've had for suicide.

At some point,
I just wanted to jump,
to the depths of sea.
Or off myself in the woods, maybe.

Just toss myself from the thirtieth story,
and leave my body
for passersby to see.

And with all these failed attempts,
to be free from this loathsome life,
I've come to realization,
That I need to treasure this beautiful lie.
In order for me
to truly be
set free.

When the time comes to uncover
this terrible veracity---
That life's nothing but an endless maze,
wherein death is the only key.
