Time is telling
but the heart
will not yield-
the clinging
to what went before
transcends reasoning

in intransigence
the loving and the hating
the coming-together
and the parting

memory plays tricks
in its condoning or rejecting
love vacillates in doubting
hate revels in exaggerating

how is a life measured?
what makes for good living?
futile is philosophising
what life does is eluding.

It is an easy mistake to think that non-talkers are non-feelers.

~Wallace Stegner
And they aren't shy
there is always a wild side to an innocent face
Birds singing softly in the morning
And the sun is shining so bright
In the blue sky above butterflies flowing high
And the children play on this warm summer's day
Perfumed scent of roses flowing in the air
The cold breeze is strong on this summer's day
And the warm sunny days are so long
This is what summer bings all year long..

Let your words dance
to the tune of your heart
they belong to each other
they never stand apart

a poem is a celebration
not just a piece of verbal art
herein is life crystallised
where beauty dwells never to depart

haphazard gaze caught a star

alone,away

glimmering

through mists of time
IOU,
solitary,nebulous star✨

Sometimes I wonder
If thieves plunder
Just to be wanted
To be chased and haunted
For the alternative is worse
Unwanted is the true curse
Do you always feel the words you write or always write the words you feel?
Not such a simple question at all, is it?

If you'd go through your poems again at different points of time or different phases of life, you may feel differently about it.

To quote Led Zeppelin's Stairway To Heaven -
"There's a sign on the wall
But she wants to be sure
'Cause you know sometimes words have two meanings"

So, how do you feel now?
