i have a B
not good enough.
i am trying my best
not good enough.
i have plenty of friends
not good enough.
i am really proud of myself
not good enough.
i am just a human being
not good enough.
i am a trans person
not good enough.
i keep trying
but i always know what you will say.
not good enough.
not good enough.
not good enough.
because to you,
it never really is
why do i keep looking for love
in places with none at all
If I had a time machine,
I'd go back in time,
To talk to ten year old me.
I'd tell him this,
The next four years of your life are going to be painful.
The next few years we be hard,
But don't let that distract you,
From giving life all you've got.
In the end, life is all we've got. Keep fighting. :)
I'll write as many love poems as I want,
But the one person they're for,
Will never read them.
Maybe one day, just not today.
We now have
An army of
Poets with single
Sentences and I
Only need 290
More poets' sentences.
This is going great guys! Thank you for all of your support.
If you would like to participate, write up a line for the poem and email it to me at hardisonabbott@gmail.com. Make sure to include your name or pen name in the email that way I can credit you. I will arrange the lines in a way that makes sense to read.
You may upload more than one line, though I cannot ensure you I will be able to use all of what you submit, I will always use at least one of your submissions.
Please repost and/or share this with anyone you think would enjoy participating in this. I'd appreciate the help spreading the word.
Thanks everybody! :)
War torn Palestine bleeds
Hopes shattered in rubble pile
Peace and love
So far away.
Palestine 🇵🇸
if you spend too much time inside your head
you will never get
to experience
the beauty of this world.
this world is right here
may as well use it
So scared all my life

Anger turned into an art

Don't have to fly kick

To fly again

Emma
In the gray it dwells,
shades of sorrow, hues of joy,
eyes paint what they feel.

Between dark and light,
truth bends to our weary hearts,
colors shift with moods.

A storm clouds the mind,
turning clear skies into ash,
world shaped by our fears.

Yet hope’s golden glow,
softens shadows, clears the haze,
brightens all we see.

Feelings weave the veil,
through which life unfolds its face,
mine lies in between.
Sometimes I don't feel or see colour's rather shades of in-between black and white.
