Confront

Seema
Torn in pieces
Scattered on the floor
He thought my heart was a paper,
That he could easily tore

What actually got ripped
Was not even my heart
Tapped few emotions
Few things, did fall apart

Seeing another fluttering heart
Flying next to him one day
I chose to confront once
And that, made us go on our way

He thought, I'd be jealous and blazing
Little pain it was, but not too late
I often smiled if his gaze ever fell on me
That, I did not hate

He confronted me, one day
And wanted to be back forever
I smiled again, turned and replied
.........never ever!

I am adept
In the art of being okay
I have mastered the craft
Of covering my troubles
I use all sorts of fancy facades
Acrylic, oil, watercolor
You name it.

I can paint over nearly anything

You will never know
How late I was up last night
Or why.

My eyes flicker
Like candlelight
But you couldn’t see
You couldn’t possibly see
I’m too good
For that.

I can dance, too
Waltzing away my sorrows
Carefully tip toe-ing the
Pas-de-I-am-fine
I get a standing ovation every time

I’m very talented, you see.

But my all time favorite
Is my disappearing act
I’m still perfecting it
Right now
But one of these days
I’ll show you
How I
Slip
Slip
Slip
Away

Right through your fingers.

I've read all the books I can
And done all the things I could do
But my mind refuses to forget about you

My sunshine
My sorrow

The sun smiles upon me and I can feel the crisp wind on my face as we walked together hand in hand
I can feel your presence next to mine, warm and inviting
I can feel the happiness that you spread to me
So contagious

There's a million things I would've done differently now
I can see that
But I also wouldn't change a second of it
Because I got to be with you

Traveler
Life is but a day
That death falls upon
Eternity, an endless river
Uncertainty, a beautiful swan
Shall we meet our fate's
   And gallantly swim on...

Hope can be lost
When one bleeds alone
A prison cell of failing flesh
Often host a heart of gold
I can feel the weight of life
You carry on your wings
In every word and thought
You write
All the beauty that you bring

So here I write a simple spell
An energy surge I'll send
Life is like a candle
Blowing in the wind
.....

Flickering
Running low on oil
Why won't it just extinguish already?
With such a small flame,
What's it good for?

set it free on time,
will forget to fly
