Autumn Rose Oct 2016
(Long, long ago,
when people still
believed in witches...)

-To wander
longingly through
the forest in search
of mystery, but
she herself was
a haunted house.
When night comes,
the whole witch chorus
follows anon.
On brooms of blazing
embers they ride,
Jumping out
of Hell-fire.
The wind is hushed,
The stars grow pale
while the black cat cries
to the moon.
It was All Hallow's Eve,
the ancient ones could tell.
Where ghosts haunt their
graveyard,
Until the morning stars sang
together.

(Here, in the forest,
dark and deep,
I offer you
eternal sleep...)
Happy Halloween!!!
Autumn Rose Oct 2016
The autumn dawn
has fainted,
****-frost shines
through my eyes.
Ghostly mist
from pine to
pine is
beckoning,
like a silver
breeze to
hallow all.
Our burdened
breath, it haunts
us everywhere.
I feel the silence
tearing up
my lost soul.
Where nightingales
do not sing
and dream the
blue skies of
the North,
I drift through
that middle air,
magic
is blazing
in my auburn hair.
And in these lonely
hours-ancient spirits
reflect within me.
Faces carved in
dead wood
walking on
my strings.
A seashore
howling below
the mountain
dew glen.
But i do not fear
to run in woodland
memories,
Into this autumn day,
Far, far away...

We are dancing
on the sea,
We are floating
on the moonlit waves
As sailor ships are
passing by
In the
midnight blue.
Wings of silver
tread, flying so
high above with you
As the enchanting
stars sail serenely by.
Do they know
where will we go?
Memories turn to
dust and shadows
underneath the
fading moon
Like an eternal dream...
I had a very magical dream last night...
Autumn Rose Oct 2016
Midnight winter
drooped her
garden of roses.
Frozen petals
scattered through
the indifferent
wind as crystal
snowflakes are
swiftly drifting by.

So sister Moon
shed a single
tear of sorrow
- A silver droplet
fell from
heaven's sky.
Slipping and sliding
from pine needle
to pine needle.

And when brother Sun
spread his gold,
he saw a sparkle
in the snow.
Two red cherries
hanging alone,
Nightfall slowly comes.

She stared with delight
as it began to shine.
He gave her
the gift of life
to her garden
of one moonflower,
Blooming in infinite ways...

Burning my
eternal body
of blazing stars
on a painter's
canvas of the
night sky.
Silver rays of
moonlit dreams
sing the hypnotic
mermaid melody
to the broken
mirror of
Aquamarine.
Where waves of
marble bitterly cry
into the deep,
do not disturb
her pearly sleep...
Autumn Rose Sep 2016
The blazing
flame of the
dark lantern
was shining
brightly
as it reflected
in the
Woodsman's
auburn eyes.
Lost souls
take no
pleasure in
being found.
Little pieces of
glowing embers
were swiftly
carried away
by the autumn
wind in the
melancholy air
of old memories.
Like a
starry breeze
of dying fire,
whispering into
the stalking
night,
singing its
mortal melody
to the
wayward pines.
And so he
slowly disappeared
in the moonlit fog,
more lost than
he could have
ever realised.
Deeper and deeper in
the unknown...

Daylight filled
with gold was
broken like a
mirror by the
haunted mist
of midnight.

The crickets
were singing
their lullaby
on the late
summer breeze.

My heart
slowly listened,
As lonely as the
howling wind
outside my window.

And i knew it
was Autumn,
As the auburn leaves
in the forest fell,
so did i,
So did I...
