Clive Blake
Sea calm,
Crew slept,
Dark side,
Sea kept,
Tide raced,
Waves crept,
Crew woke,
Sails prepped,
Coiled spring,
Waves leapt,
Overboard,
Crew swept,
Left behind,
They wept.

For the sea has no respect
For the nautically inept …
A Cornish poem about the sea.
By Cornish Poet Clive Blake
He will forever be
In my soul
In all the enchanted places
That greatly sparkle
Like ardent stars

jordan
quarter moon asymmetry
casts shadowed light
twilight’s first breath
gasps with coming night

hollow empty distance
star-glitter kiss
night’s violet depth
mysterious abyss
southbound on two wheels
under a shapely moon

Traveler
Resilient
The poets heart
Words we use
Turning pain to art

Chronic stress
A syndrome no less
Our muses behold
The Mother's breast

Fight or flight
Sympathetic states
We resolve upon
Our creative slates

Breaking through
Rising above
Poetry becomes our strongest drug

When the fever flares
Word are but aspirin
And the poem becomes our cure
An observation I made while
living here,

on HP!
Tragedy isn't even very tragic anymore

ok okay
Broken I was
But not broken in two
One day I fell deeply
Through the endless ocean blue
Slowly I crumbled
And the darker I viewed
Then out of nowhere
In the deepest darkest blue
I found your smile
And it lit up all that I knew
I imagine this as a boy falling lower and lower into the depths of the ocean. It gets darker and darker and all seems lost. But then somewhere down the darkest part of the ocean he finds a girl with a smile to change his everything that he once knew.

You’re a fire raging
Flames lapping in your soul
Let me dance, my love
Let me dance in the inferno
Not by the number of lines,

Not for any adequate rhyme,

Not by the amount of works read,

Simply by the life I've led.
