Tell me where all of the good ones have gone
Because I can't seem to catch a glimpse.
I've given all I have to give and nothing seems to be enough.
I'm at my wits end trying to be, the girl I know I should be.
But no matter how hard I try
My best attempts aren't enough.

Every night I cry myself to sleep wondering
What I could do to make it clear.
Wondering how I can make him see what I'd do to see him smile.
Wondering if it means anything to him that I'd do anything for him.

Tell me where all of the good ones have gone
Because I can't seem to catch a glimpse.
I've waited up for days just hoping he'd throw me a speck of hope.
I gave it to myself because he won't spare the time.
They say that we all find the one, but it seems to me that mine has died,
Because inside, I feel alone
And nothing is left to bear.

I've never missed a pain so much before
I never really cared.
Until I said I’m done
I never really knew I loved you.
Or how I love you.
Every night I cry myself to sleep
Wondering if there was anything I could do to stop you.
Every night I fight so hard to close my mind from thoughts of you.

Tell me where all the good ones have gone
Because I can't seem to catch a glimpse.
This one wants to get too close and that one won't get close enough.
Over there
He thinks of what he might take off of me tonight.
But here
He can't stand the thought of being next to me.
And that one doesn't seem to see why I can't believe.

Tell me where all the good ones have gone.
From where I stand they want what they want
And nothing more with you.
So tell me where all the good ones have gone
Because I can't seem to catch a glimpse.
Externally we're a fortress
Built on a mountain conceived of pride
Fearlessly we shine when hit by the sun's ray
But our foundation is made of porcelain
Our walls of glass
We are breakable, dangerously so
Everyday we crumble a bit more
Under the weight of ourselves
The very matter we're made of
Slipping further from the mountaintop
Yet you would never know from the way we look at a distance
Stunning and unobtainable
It's only when you come closer
When you bother to step inside our walls
And hear to the crunch of your footsteps
In our darkest places where all you can do is listen
Can you begin to grasp just how fragile we really are
So do not let us deceive you into thinking you aren't allowed inside
For every fortress was created so that it's beauty could be admired
Inside and out

And here i find myself, thinking about the fact that life or fate whatever you want to call it, always carries me to you.
Everything leads me back to you, as if every little thing; the sunlight, the clouds, the stars, the air, the moon... are small boats carrying me back to you, back to your arms and lips that were once my home not much long ago...

Why are we pretending that people carry solutions.
Another blood filled person is not a solution but a cavalcade, a fisherman's net of un-solutions.

looking into your eyes
i see a brand new world
i see a world so limitless
so outstanding, so refreshing
but when you look in mine
you see nothing
there's nothing to be
it broke my heart
so when i looked back into your eyes
all i saw was pain,
hatred, anger, sadness.
a brand new idea
of what won't be
Why
Why are thing the way they are
Why do you wish upon a star
Where do you find sweet peace of mind
And why are people so often unkind
Why do I seek what I cannot find
Why do I wish for some other time
Why do I ask why must this be
Why would you dare refuse to see
The reason the why's and why they are
Is because its right here and not too far
If you look at what you have and ask not why
your why's will decreas ...Give it a try
Now for those who may not care
I will leave you with a dare
I dare you to think, next time you ask why
And maybe just maybe....you'll look toward the sky
For maybe your answers to all of your whys
Are far far beyond the clouds in the sky
