We cling to dead air
Holding on to broken promises
And feelings that are not there.
We dwell on the scars
Carved with care across our heart.
Trying to place our finger on
The beginning of the end
Or the end of the start.

Our dearest departed
Left us used and disheartened.
While the sins of the father
Gave birth to disaster
Born in the shape of a man.
The harder we cling to shadows
The more we long for shade.
The more our grip shall weaken
As those we love slip far away.

Too often

                            We walk
                  Through        Storms
                                 Searching
                            For
                                     LOVE
                              Knowing
                         We won’t find it !
And we often find ourselves asking why me !

The road where you want
to follow me is not the
road I'm traveling.

in the end, you will know..."

Dear Journal,

The wheel turns on the black Bic lighter and conjures a restless spark,
thus igniting once sincere letters. In turn, arctic winds are evoked at dark.
Couple's ardor inspired prior to her departure abroad to Denmark.

Confederate embers scorch paper, but less so than this dolorous heart.
Blazing in solidarity on a barren porch; a pyre for finest silks torn apart.
With weeping wounds cauterized, the true healing now just starts.

Sincerely,
Rekindled

The door holds the secrets
Lying beneath the scars written on her face
Secrets that are kept
Preventing them to spread,
for others not to be harmed as well

There is pain here...in the darkness.
There is loneliness...amidst the night
There is heartbreak...in the shadows
There is desperation...from the fog.

Nothing blooms...in the winter.
Nothing shines...in the deep.
Nothing waits...in the madness.
Nothing grows...in a wasteland

What has happened...to our spirit?
What has fallen...from our hearts?
What has blocked...the love within us?
What has ruined...our very soul?

Can you hear me...in the silence?
Can you feel me...in this place?
Can you know me...in an instant?
Can you love me...for eternity?

How can passion...hurt so dearly?
How can energy...be so pale?
How can unity...fall to pieces?
How can brokenness...become whole?

Why does life...defy explanation?
Why does death...scare us so?
Why does a man...abandon his own?
Why does a flame...cease burning forever?

Where does a broken soul...go to mend?
Where does a person...cease being human?
Where does a boy...become a true man?
Where does a hero...find no place to call home?

Everything ends...one time or another.
Everything changes...from the tides to the sky.
Everything freezes...in the cold of the winter.

Everything disappears...in the ashes of time.
Sorry for going dark for awhile. I've been dealing with some medical and family issues. But I'm back and ready to go!

Sometimes you have no reason to stay,
and realize that's a perfect argument to go.
And that taking an entirely new way,
is the sore but single method to grow.

If you're washed-on abeyance's bight,
and you feel decision's heavy heft:
To choose the left where nothing's right,
or go to the right where nothing's left.

Remember it matters not where you proceed,
or which mountain you want to ascend.
It does not matter whether you succeed,
it is the journey that matters in the end.
