Miss Grim
As I lay awake listening to the howling winds against my window pane
For a moment I thought I heard it scream your name
So i opened the window and let it rush in
Only to be struck by the frigid pain
Reminding me to close it once again.

I'm writing this poem
In the hopes of finding peace
So that when I get to the end of this piece
I won't be thinking of you anymore

I won't be missing you
I won't be dreaming of you
I won't be crying because of you
I won't be dying

'Cause this pain is too much
'Cause this pain is unbearable
'Cause this pain...
is all that's left

The best revenge is showing that you don't need them when they think they need you.

Heaven is around her
If she only knew just how beautiful she was
Maybe she would've never felt like a blur
If she only knew just how sorry I was
Maybe then she would live again
Instead I wallow in all things we could've been
I can't live like this

I'm just the chime in howling winds, managing to bring sweet noise during a storm that will eventually pass through.

Annabel wore white
as she laid under a Willow
She brought her brown basket
and a comfortable red pillow

She laid in the shade,
writing and reminiscing.
Bringing forth a smile
for the one she was missing.

Her days had been growing longer
and she knew wasn't fearless.
Sitting under their Willow
writing to her dearest

She wrote about his charm
She wrote about his smile
She wrote about his laugh
She wrote about his style

She wrote until the Sun turned off the day
She wrote from her heart and all it couldn't say

Annabel finally stood, picked up her basket and started walking home.
Leaving all her notes and poems, upon his gravestone.
