Our minds affect what happens.
Both directly and indirectly.
Because it drives the vehicle of our
bodies and otherwise. It can be
constructive or corrosive. It's your choice.
One's mind affects what happens,
both directly and indirectly.
Both because the Mind drives
the vehicle of One's Body, and otherwise.
It can be constructive or corrosive or neither.
It's your choice.
Yet another of my earliest entries. Revisited.
Who One eventually becomes
depends heavily upon
the choices One makes-
the passions One nourishes-
the opportunities One pursues-
the perseverance One is willing to embody.
"What the ****?
Why is it that as soon as a topic gets religious
there are contradictions every third word?

Christian punk;
although Punk is Anarchistic and Marxist;
christian Punk isn't."

Jesus ******* Christ.
Imposing Moral authority

Greed and Vanity.

Real ******' Christ-like.
Not an attack,
simply commentary.
Circadian Rhythms?
More like
Circadian Polyrhythms.
What if there was an event so monumentally Tragic
or that could be portrayed as such by the media corporations
that the Government, with it it's ulterior motives,
would capitalize on it to ensure that their own goals are met?

Any excuse to tighten the clamp of Enforcement
and to broaden the spectrum of subsidized Authority
to preclude any voice of dissent from being heard
seems to be jumped upon by those in Power nowadays.

I implore thee to ponder the chances
of a Tragedy being staged so as to put on a show
wherein Government is Director and leading role
and the Populous is the Audience.

I do not claim that this is the case
I just have my reservations.

Two dead and scores injured.

What about the bombings each day that we inflict on innocents of other nations?
What about the bombings of religious buildings by people of a different religion?
What about the executions that occur on American soil, in prisons or otherwise?

Woe is us
and us alone.
Our city lights,
however small in comparison,
nullify the countless Stars
of the wondrous night Sky.

Perhaps
this is analogous to how
things that seem to be
so very close,
so very small,
so very benign,
so very familiar,
so very attainable;
things of our conscious creation;
can preclude even the very awareness
of far greater,
far more beautiful,
far more powerful things;
both external and internal;
both transient and eternal;
and why we must
take great care
and
act with great tact
and
act with immense respect
if
we, as mortals:
curators of reality;
are to be trusted
with such effervescent potency.

Classical Music and Metal Music
are a Father and Son who usually don't speak to each other.
But, when they do, it's ******* epic.
Keep the Weather hush-hush;
it isn't good for morale.

The coagulation of wealth in society
is like what would happen
if one particular ***** in the body
stashed all of the body's blood:
The whole body would inevitably starve, wither and die,
including the one greedy *****
which pooled all of the blood and ruined it
for the other 99% of the body.
My bastardized Latin name approximating "[One who] reflects inner wisdom."
I love playing with etymology.

Cogitationis roughly translates to "thinking/meditation/reflection"
Sapien sort-of means "wise/wisdom/sentient" (like **** Sapiens)
Intrum is something like "inner/inside/within"

and the letter u was once writ as the letter v in the Latin world, so I replaced the us with vs and trifled with likely absolutely incorrect suffixes to make it more fun to say.

Hence: **Cogitatio Sapientvs Intrvm
Figured I'd justify my name change this time.
Seeking
to complain,
't'is found.

Seeking
to compliment,
't'is found.

Such
is a reflection
of the power
of attention
and intention.

'T'is beseeched:
use responsibly.
"Forsooth, my bretheren! That is rather foreboding!"

Inspired by some mail I received earlier today.
A prime purpose of much Art
is to afflict the comfortable
and to comfort the afflicted.
Two categories to which I find myself belonging.
Why is it that we feel it is necessary
to fill all of the voids and silent gaps
with idle ******* and gossip?

Why can't the silence just be comfortable?
The Comfort Zone
is a beautiful place
but an infertile one
Go out and do it
rather than just talking a mediocre game;
take risks, get knocked down, pick yourself back up, proceed.

Hone your ideas in accordance to natural law.
Try your ideas by the fire of reality.

Anyone can spew *******
Anyone can be idealistic
Anyone can be a poser
but it takes a special breed
to take definite risks
to maybe succeed.
There's more to language
than spewing negativity.

Show some gratitude;
maybe even reverence.

Reflect. Listen. Grow.
Proceed with diligance.
Blessings upon thy paths,
fellow wanderers!
One who seeks foremost to be kind
supersedes any seeking always to be right;

it is more important to be kind
than it is to be right.

Information is not necessarily Understanding
just as Knowledge isn't always Wisdom.
"It could always be worse;" seek to make it better.
"It could always be better;" make it so.
Status Quo = State of Control
When a Compliment is genuine,
it can do more harm than good;
it can be fuel to the Fire of Ego
or it can be a humbling affirmation
of one's practice and discipline.

So, please, if you get a Compliment,
do not take it as an Ego trip
and likewise do not ignore it;
for someone has gone out of their way
to share their impression of you with you,
which, for some of us,
can be rather difficult sometimes.

The same applies to Critique;
someone has cared enough
to bring a thing to your attention
that you may improve it,
sometimes people criticize
lashing out from their Shadow,
but heed them not,
for they are lost.
When more isn't enough,
consider less.
It be not
the words
but, rather,
the concepts
that are relevant.
You can do as you please,
but, please not around me.

I love you for who I know you are,
but I hate that you don't change for me.
Confidence is not thinking
"I know they will like me."
Confidence is knowing
"I'll be fine even if they don't."
I can't quite take full credit;
this is a paraphrased piece of advice a past guitar teacher gave me.
Language is limited to the literal,
but is also a tool for the mythic;

tread lightly
when interpreting
and defining.

Keep a fluid mind
as opposed to a rigid one.
'Tis indeed a shame
our superficial society
sees "ugly" only as physical;

For many people who
do to the eyes appear pretty
are indeed quite ugly people.
Sometimes my conscience can't bear my sense of humour.
If only it were so ******* simple
we would have already figured it out
if you yourself could manage it.

But, as it seems, the obstacle is the path
and sometimes the obstacle is yourself
and sometimes the path is not the one you'd like.
"This is ridiculous: I have three drinks
and none of them are quite water,
and none of them are quenching."
It is quite remarkable what One can do,
if and when One would only choose to.
Regardless of
your interests,
no matter how fascinating;
your spirituality,
no matter how robust;
your intentions,
no matter how pure;
your experiences,
no matter how profound;

nary a soul is made exempt
from etiquette and respect:

People will remember how you make them feel
more readily than what you did or didn't do
(though the two surely aren't mutually exclusive!)

Point is:
don't be disrespectful or hold others in contempt
simply because you have dissimilar tastes or perspectives:
One should learn to navigate the discrepancy
and desire to come upon mutual understandings.

That's called Philosophy.
It's not for the feint of Heart.
It's also not what you read of it;
it's by what you live and why.

What are your virtues?
Which, if any, is your patron deity at this stage of your life, and why?
Define the terms: Music, Art, and God.
Who's your favorite writer?

See,
I may disagree,
but we can look on the bright side:
now we have something to discuss.
Finally, some much-needed food for thought!

I grow weary of *Philosophobia.
Yeah, I made up the word Philosophobia. Get over it.

Happy Pi Day! 3.14.15
Conversation is Arbitrary.

We are all Arbiters.
1: "If they don't, I'll be mad at them, in my head."
2: "Just in your head?"
1: "Well, at first."
2: "Well, it's got to start somewhere!"
"Man, I can't stand the people who just panhandle and heckle the passersby. It's not their job to support your lifestyle and/or habits! I had one friend who was just harassing people; hey man, leave them the **** alone! I just wanted to punch him in the ******* face. Get a job, ya ***! Trim some **** or some ****!"

"Heh, yeah.. people can be obtrusive about some things.. I still like to try to help if I can; I mean, we're all in this together."

"I don't want your ******* money! Well, I mean, I have a job; I could go over to that ATM and take my money out and spend it.. .but why the **** would I want to?  I only say that 'cause some ******* **** me off. Support yourself, like the rest of the Natural World, you selfish *****!"

"Well, I'd feel better with my cash in hand than in some bank owned by some greedy, shifty, slick, loophole-******* *******."

"Wait a second, boy, do you paint your fingernails?"

"..Yes."

"Are you hetero******?"

"... yes."

"Okay, just checkin'. I'm just curious. I don't care what you do with your **** as long as you're responsible and don't **** with well-meaning girls' hearts and ****. We got too many diseased and pregnant *******. People deserve better than that stupid ****. Some of 'em like being treated like objects, though. Them's the filthy'ns."

"Ookay.. thanks for the advice. I'm going to be on my way now. Have a great day."

"Alright. Don't be an ******* to anyone until they show that they deserve it! Be a ******* Person to other ******* People, you know what I mean, boy?"

"Yep, I sure do. It's been an experience; good morning."
This just happened.
If you never second guess yourself,
you're likely often wrong.

Silence is my canvas.
Energy is my pantheon.
Thought and Music are my forms of prayer.
There is no Truth in your Heart.
You must wait for permission from others
to pursue what you want in Life.
You cannot teach yourself how to be happy.

You must follow in footsteps
and walk upon the set path;
you are not allowed to blaze your own trail.
You must be told how to live and what to do.

There is no Truth in your Heart already.
You must be told what is True by Authority.
You must not think for yourself;
you must act on the behalf of others.

There is no Truth in your Heart;
the only Truth is what you're told.

Go back to sleep.
Go back to sleep.
If you love something,
smother and nag it to death;
neither nurture it
and encourage it to blossom
into it's natural potential
nor simply allow it to be-
to follow it's dharma.

Do not by any means
welcome it on neutral ground:
look down on it
and control it-
condescend it,
push it away
make it want to leave
if you wish to show that you really care.
Is it any wonder i never want to ****?
Courage
is not the absence of Fear;
Courage
is the Will to face Fear.
One who opts for comfort over a challenge is a coward.
That isn't to say don't seek comfort, but it is to say don't let it hold you back.
