Deenah
It's that vast land that I want,
          That open plain of sea
The step into the wilderness,
Where it's just you and me

I wished it long ago
Like a child in a dream,
I'd be lying if I pretended
I still don't see it in my sleep.

I can't understand sometimes,
like I'm blindfolded in the dark
and even though you're stood there
           we're almost miles apart.

I never lied when I said my heart was open
           exposed only for you,
it might be easier to forget and leave
but I'd choose to hurt for eternity,
because it's always you I'd choose.
As they say... poetry can't be written, if there's 'nothing poetic about my state'

Dian Lestari
You are quiet night with a dim white light
Bring the warmth of the darkness into the blue
When droplets of rain fall slowly
Dancing gently in the breeze
It is like an art that springs from the dawn
You are mystery of beauty
When sapphire moonbeam is more impressive than the cold sea
This is our very own '84
they watch where you've been
they see what you wore,
who you were with and who's
given who what,
recorded and sorted
filed and reviewed,
I wonder what kind of a camera
they use and
when do
they choose to use it.

This is our very own '84
we've been eighty-sixed.

I'm not an artist but I've opened up galleries with your name painted all over the walls

they're a souvenir encoded in brush strokes of downward spirals and rose tinted tunnel vision

the lights are blaring and my sight is blurred by tears and the street lamp flickers, almost sympathetically

a street lamp can understand, so why can't you?

Relativity

She fell in love with an astronaut,
their distance lightyears away.
She believes that he fell in love with her, too.
“For the galaxies are beside me, and a vast of possibilities laying
outside the metal surrounding me,
i kept falling back into your pull of gravity.”
And she still does, when she grows old every day, waiting
he stays the same, feels the same, thinks the same.

But she fell in love with an astronaut,
their distance lightyears away.
Everything under her feet moves faster,
And in space - time slows down, Relativity kicks in.
And every day she wishes, that the Earth would stop revolving
the years stop counting, and
she would stay the same, feel the same, think the same.
She hoped, she dreamed, she failed.

She fell in love with an astronaut.
Her nights linger on tinkering on stars
and planets, and space. She wanted to wait,
she grows old, he slows it down, she couldn’t.
He is lightyears away, and time is running out.
She was in love with an astronaut,
and he was meant to be there, not with her,
not ever.
