"submurged" poems
Let us run, Let us hide, Let us fade, Along with the tide. Within the sea, She silently breathed, The heavens were waiting, Along with me. Miss you she said -looking up at the sky- She turned her back, And waved goodbye. Submerged by the water, Slowly she sinks -Timeless and lifeless- No seconds to think. Slowly she drifts, At peace at last. Looking back at her life, It sure was a blast. What happened to her? What went so wrong? What caused her to go.. After so long? The time has now ended, Along with her pain. She can now rest, Can't be harmed again. E.M Pearson

Submurged
Un-belonging Undressed from teenage rhythm. It’s a yearning for The lost birds Whose wings you rode In talkless flight, Til the silence got thicker And woke up Under the acupuncturist’s shadow. And it needled it’s point as Chinese wisdom, or as a well-meaning homeopath. It dawdled all the same. And you’re all sat right there. Submurged. Happy as reflections. Like an underwater photograph, Mermaid’s song, gargles Like the frog in my throat. Almost Bauhaus, Picasso, Almost watercolour, a mockingbird’s Impression of a rock. It was just Undiagnosed sickness and I’m Wading slowly into the sea with my parents stones in my pocket.

Homesickness
The silence has become deafening Encased Submurged Surrounded By the silence The chaos is not ceasing or changing its course Destined to whirl around me Twisting and pulling me in ways i could never explain Pushing and pushing And pushing Until i cant hold myself anymore My stregnth has shattered Within the silence Into a thousand tiny pieces i lay strewn on the floor
