"desolve" poems
World spun around
Turned me upside down
Dropped me on my head
On a rocky ledge
Baffled and bungled
Lost in a jumble
Crawling towards the sea
To return to my me
Needing to desolve
And reevolve
To my former self
The one upon the shelf

We are fragile figures. Our pillows at the outskirts of paradise. Befriended by dreams, the mind begins to process the day in Kodachrome. Once it starts, there's no turning off the pictures. She lies beside me. She's reached paradoxical sleep. I'm still on the outside looking in.
Take me there. Beyond the eyelids, where the mind wanders each night. To where the seeds of disturbance must be resolved within us. Some are strengthened. Others desolve as mist. This is how we survive. Chemical fires burn, become tides of memory. Pass the torch of preservation. Keeping them warm and remembered.
A miraculous routine. Live together. Dream alone. Desolate. Magnificent. My eyes are at the moment the apparitions are shut away. My mind in this place, a stretched fabric. Yet, it's far from alone. In the cataloging of miles and years, I sense an odd fellowship cresting without limit. I thought I saw her smile in agreement from her side of sleep.

Just 15; Just pass 3 am
Moma sleeping, daddy working
Minds racing, boy sneakin' sneakin'
Rain dried, hearts desire
Anonymous soccer jersey walking dog
Lonely street light illuminating lonely boy
Don' wanna go home, Don't wanna desolve
Rain dried, love too
Cigarettes and ice tea
Familiar sidewalks, windows closed
No friends awake, air is wide
To much space, to little thoughts
Night is freedom, night is dead
Boy is running because he can
Boy is crying because he can
Who counts boys when stars are endless
Boy just passed 18; Boy is still there
Awake while night, drunk while day
Boy still loves the same, but not at night
Night is dead, but dead means freedom

Dream-Master collects ticket to dreamland,
as stars vibrate bright,
as moon smiles with light.
As I drift and play,
all in moons sweet ray.
Perhaps I’ll see you there,
a paradise to share
The wind will be our gas,
and we shall have a blast.
Dream-Master says don’t tarry,
for inside dreams we’ll marry.
The moment will evolve,
in dreams so fears desolve.
The tickets an open heart,
to make a brand new start.
To be carried inside light,
makes all things feel so right.

Fold yourself into my arms and let your restless thoughts desolve to the sound of my heartbeat. Brought together by chance; staying together by choice. Your depths are unending in a world that's so shallow. I never knew home could be found in a stranger.
