Dumudugo—
Sobrang kirot,
Kamay ko'y nasasaktan,
Mahigpit ko pa ring hawak;
Dumudugo—
Sobrang sakit,
Palad ko'y naramdaman,
Tinik sa katawan ng rosas;
Dumudugo—
Sobrang hapdi,
Kamay ko'y patuloy na kumapit,
Ani mo, baka kaya pa
Kaya sa iyo ay patuloy na umaasa.

Napakaitim na ng ulap,
Sumisigaw pa ang kulog,
Hangin ay nangangalit,
Panahon ay tila galit;
Mga mata ko'y nagmamasid
sa nag-aambon na kalangitan
Hinihintay ko itong umiyak—
Luha ko'y hindi na batid
Kapag naghalo na ang aming pighati.

Tila isang dagok ang dumagan sa puso ko habang isinusulat ito at nakikiayon naman ang panahon sa aking nararamdaman.
