Moon glows o'er night blooms
strings play "Misty,"...soft voice hums,
......serene, fragrant dusk...

MOM
Our world when we are small.
Our bane when teenaged.
Our friend as an adult.
Our loss when death takes.
My Mom died 33 years ago as of May 30, 2019 - she was only 55.  She has much been on my mind.  (7/01/2019)

Challenging institutions
To give confounding solutions
Pollutions of noise
Screaming in both ears
It appears we are stuck between extremes

As the means to an end
Presents violence
And people look the other way in
Complicit silence

We are constantly trapped
In boulder-sized battles
And downed beer bottles
As we stumble to assert
Our power over the crowds of other voices

To start a revolution
the natural evolution of the human heart
Must mold and knead away
The cracked part that let emotions seep through

One day, our clothes will be drenched
in the determined sweat of those we're fighting for
For it is then that they will realize
that we are serious and
with real eyes understand that
We would die for this fight.

I love you
Even if you don't care
I love you
Even through my despair
I love you
Even if you're never there
But I mostly love you
For the times
You looked me in the eyes
And I saw your presence there

I’m not proud to be an American
Where no one is really free
And I won’t forget the ones who died
For that freedom that will never be
