Stopped Building Her Walls
The Demons Came Marching in
She Had Let them Win
Sara passed her the bottle and stared as she drank, Tracing the outline of her figure so carefully. Oh How Sara couldn't help  herself . “What? What's Wrong?” The girl said. Sara stood there in silence for a few moments and then turned away. “Nothing”. Sara sat there in contemplation. Slowly she turned and kissed her. Though it was only for a few seconds, Sara sworn she was breathless. The girl froze in shock, mouthing words that had no meaning or sense. Sara could no longer breathe and regret filled her lungs. Sara stood up and preparing to walk away when a hand stopped her in her tracks. The girl looked at her. The girl said nothing, but her glowed and her grip tightened. No words were exchanged. The girl eyes said it all as she reeled Sara in and kissed her and then again once more.

.

She collected sea shells
I collected sand
She searched for the perfect one
I reached down my hand

I carried a bucket
A basket she did whirl
Mine was filled with tiny grains
Hers with mother of pearl

She came out each morning
Me, just late at night
She adored the sunrise
I loved the moon light

Then one day it happened
My alarm clock didn’t ring
I woke to a rising sun
It was the weirdest thing

I ran down to the shoreline
My bucket in my hand
It’s then I saw her gorgeous face
While I collected sand

I found a perfect seashell
And watched her eyes grow wide
She held out her basket
I placed the shell inside

Then she reached down before me
And gathered in her hand
I held out my bucket
She filled it up with sand

And now each day and evening
We walk along the shore
She told me that she loves me
And her I do adore

So if you see us out there
Strolling hand in hand
Know...she’s collecting sea shells
And I’m collecting sand
Just for fun........
Behind the door are cries,
heavy swallows and closed eyes.

One. two steps out the door
no crying. Can breathe once more.
She thinks she loves him
He thinks he might love her too
But neither admit the truth

As a kid time wasn't the same,
a day feelt like forever
and everything was a game.

Now I'm a ****** up adult,
in a world fast and insane,
the game now feels so occult.
Why does everything feel so strange?

Life feels like a weird insult.
Why did all things have to change?
Change is good they'll say to me,
but my craving still remains.

The bussier we are
the faster time passes.
Where better than a bar
to fill our glasses?

My eyes meet yours,
between the  masses,
and within the drunk choirs
your smile, my heart crashes.

Got you name, got number,
and from your lips a kiss I borrow.
And then I wonder...
Will you answer the phone tomorrow?
You didn't.
