I don't have
                       to
                           do
                                Anything

Just                                                        Be

Just breathe
And let the world
Come
          to
              me
Because
I was made to enjoy sunsets
And starlight
The way the waves roll on the beach
And
        really
Nothing I can do
Can make
What is truly

rearrange your mind
leave your soul a restless wanderer

It's been said of her, she's heartless in nature
There's nothing that beats inside her chest
But something like that works two fold
Where most don't take the time to know
What could be the reason for this

With so many hurts it's hard to recover
The way love bites it's pain she finds
She's given away so much of it
That there is hardly any left
It's not like her heart she's trying to hide

She doesn't come with a load of questions
Just where's true love and why's it take so long
Hidden out amongst the weeds
Often makes love hard to see
Where you can go and pick your own

No, it's not like she has no heart at all
She's just afraid to give the rest away
As life imitates art through the bitter parts
She'll draw it out with only half a heart
Living come what may from day to day

Free Bird
In these moonlit hours
I lay here, my thoughts racing
Sometimes it's hard to handle
The realities that I'm facing

My mind is over-tired
Yet my thoughts keep me awake
It's just the way I'm wired
It feels as if there's no escape

Flashbacks hit me like a flash flood
I'm drowning in the memories
My wounds have opened, there is blood
Pouring from my arteries

As the crimson river runs
It feels do or die, this battle
The journey's never any fun
When you're up a creek without a paddle

I see everything so vividly
The visions that dance before my eyes
I'm overcome with melancholy
As I whimper out soft cries

Then just as quickly as it came
The feeling is gone, I'm no longer numb
My body's shaking dissipates
As I brace myself for when the next wave comes

Sunset
I am the winter snow storm you have never dreamed of.
The kind that is so cold it becomes painful but
you know that the pain will go away and the cold
will become warmth so you kiss my chapped lips
and runny nose anyway.
You are the summer vacation I need when I am
stressing over bills I do not have the money
to pay for. You are so hot; I get steamy
in the way that I like. So I pull you in and
kiss your smooth lips and perfect nose
every day.
But my allergies spike in the summer. And you always catch a cold in the winter. Allergies are not as prominent as the symptoms of the common cold. And shoveling snow in -20 degrees Celsius is worse than mowing the lawn in 35.
So I do not blame you for finding your own summer vacation that helps you gain perspective and enhance your creativity, rather than being trapped with me, your very own blizzard of 1993.

could you please
preheat the oven
to 450°F?

thanks!
now
can you please
shove me in there
and close the door tightly?

I'll probably scream
and flail
but,
ignore that

I need a fire to be lit
under my ***
since I clearly
cannot light one
by myself
'bout my lack of motivation and willpower
