I have been on the ocean side
And  seen the another  day go by
With nothing but the cold breeze blowing by
I have wished and prayed for better but no one seemed to reply

Living in Your presence

Amongst men yet not as l
Oh You beloved abide in me that I may be sheltered under Your wings.

Her: It beats my understanding why you'd want to meet this version of me, like this.

I want to meet her because I want a life with her
Talking to her keeps me warm
She says loving makes her weak but that doesn't make her helpless
She's a strong and easy person to love
Every bit a man wants in a woman
I've fallen for her even though she's afraid to try
Wants to be close but fears she'll lose me the moment she lets herself fall much deeper
Sometimes I hate her for it but she's only human
An innocent soul with an equally fragile heart
"I'll let you meet her when I don't feel like I need a return ticket" is what she says
I could tell she's ready but still in denial
Even when she tries to push me away,
I give her more reasons not to
To say it more plainly, I'm in love with her
That's why.
If there were a child to come
She'd learn to love like her mum
And patience
She's worth the wait.

What hope do we stand for?
If truly  there is love amongst us.
Is it just another lie we tell ourselves?
Just to get attention, we do all things.
Things that land us into the shallows of evil.
Even for the chosen that wander into the dark.
Only for what pleasure and pride?
What intent does the Church of Christ stand for?
Is it just another metaphor that we add to vocabulary?
Oh in this church where immorality is like an anthem.
And yet scripture forbids such act.
But all they say to themselves that God is our salvation.
I mean if the deaf and dumb know that is wrong.
Why not listen to what is right to find peace.
Oh Lord if only You have mercy upon this generation that has lusted and turned away from You.
