Let me be a leaf
Let me blow this way and that
Set me free my tree.

Snow pelts the window
And piles high like unsaid words
I hate how I love

If you were a star, you'd shine so brightly
That no matter how far, I'd see you nightly
If you were the moon, you'd hang so low
That no matter how lost, I'd feel your glow
If you were mine, you'd be none of these things
You'd live like an eagle without any wings
I would never keep you from your true galaxy
Cuz if anyone needs you in the sky, it's me

I dreamt of you
In black and white
But
Your voice
Was in color
I do not know
What words you said
But I heard
Shades of adore

I saw you with your mask down today.
You had kept it on for so long
I had thought it was super glued to your face,
but when it slipped I saw that the person
who seemed cold and distant on the inside
only kept up that guard on the outside.
You remind me of a swimming pool,
cold if you only dip your toe in,
but not so bad if you jump straight in.
I'm glad I saw you with your mask down today.
Never put it back on.
One of the most beautiful things is seeing someone open up to you. That they had decided that you were the one who deserved to see them in such a raw, exposed state even for just a split second<3

guy scutellaro
the screech of brakes
from the garbage truck
the dogs of destiny snapping
at your heels
and the passionate embrace
from endless night,
misery follows you down
springwood avenue
with those nightmares
that can't
sleep
the visions riot in your head

the light of the evening star is fading
The songbird sits on a thin branch

where does the child of countless dreams run to?
