It's like some form of video game
Where my ID is called up, instead of my name
The thing to do with every task
Is to wear a sweaty full face mask

You too have entered the skyrim
You too wear a mask, you're not that dim
We drop suddenly with hands on the floor
Seeking to beat our very last score

This is no type of emulator
But you choose to stick them on a ventilator
Thank God there is some form of medicine
To protect them from the evil of your sin

The next level is here for us to play
The next challenge is vaccination every day
Lets hope this vaccination works
Before the gamestation hits us with more quirks

I pray today..
That you go away

I pray today..
That you let us play

The second wave is here
Let us take our ship and steer
A path away from fear
Thoughts, hope and prayer for us all with the next wave of COVID-19
Dave Robertson Sep 2020
Mushroom promises swell into existence,
flim-flam miracles,
pristine plump “truths”
when uttered, swelling proud
alongside peach-keen
endorsing smiles

But the treacle of decay acts quickly
so even the casual observer
sees the rot before the ink dries,
smells rank mould,
and we decry ad infinitum

This is no joke
Don't take it lightly
This is **** serious
Don't take it with ease

This virus is still out there
So please wear your masks religiously
This virus is determined to stay
So please wash your hands thoroughly

The first wave was bad enough
You all started to take all for granted
The second wave now seems to be relentless
You all still didn't learn your lesson

Wake up and be more attentive
This wave is no funny joke
Wake up and be more cautious
This wave must not beat us
We were, still are and will be affected by Covid-19. Stop being silly and take all precautions seriously. This ain't no joke.

anxious heart made sick
anticipation postponed—
beware second wave
